Scrim Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 If you don't yet know how to hover, trim isn't some magical answer to it. When you learn to hover, you can do it with or without trim.
ebabil Posted April 5, 2014 Author Posted April 5, 2014 I can trim at low altitudes but sometimes or most of the times my chopper reacts over sensitive. And it is almost impossible to hover over a high building. I am not sure if it is beneficial to apply some dead zone or saturation to my controllers. Flagrum Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 I can trim at low altitudes but sometimes or most of the times my chopper reacts over sensitive. And it is almost impossible to hover over a high building. I am not sure if it is beneficial to apply some dead zone or saturation to my controllers. Sounds as if you were having troubles to recognise the movement of the helo. At low altitude you notice any movement easily because you have plenty of reference points on the ground. At higher altitude these reference points are too far away to be used reliably (at least when staring at a computer screen), I assume. Sorry, I have no solution here - but perhaps this can help you to narrow down the nature of your (and my :o) problem.
ebabil Posted April 5, 2014 Author Posted April 5, 2014 so no one uses saturations or dead zones ? Pizzicato Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 I have a warthog, and a custom made collective I do not use any curves or dead zones I'm almost the same. I don't use any curves, but I do have a small deadzone in the X-axis because of some slight play in the Warthog's centre position. i7-7700K @ 4.9Ghz | 16Gb DDR4 @ 3200Mhz | MSI Z270 Gaming M7 | MSI GeForce GTX 1080ti Gaming X | Win 10 Home | Thrustmaster Warthog | MFG Crosswind pedals | Oculus Rift S
Dark Angel Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 X55 Rhino with no curves or deadzone. Fixing reference points and anticipate the movements are the keys. Make really small movements with the stick otherwise you will swing around. I can hardly see my hand moving when hovering. And most of all...PRACTICE! Cheers! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
b00ce Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 TM Warthog, removed large spring from the stick, no curves or dead zone. Saitek pro flight combat pedals, curves/dead zone same as above.
