Hi all

i deactivated the option to aim with my track ir, but which control is then responsible for it ? cause when moving my mouse nothing is happening :joystick:

"TrackIR aiming" is a bit misleading. It really means "View Controls aiming". So you have to enable it to be able to aim with your mouse ... but you will have to pause your TrackIR first, so that the mouse controlls your view and therefore also the aiming.

If you disable "TIR aiming", then you can use the keys ",", ".", "/" and ";" ... how little feasible that might be ...

Check out "Layer UH-1H Gunner" under Options->Controls.

The weapon training video still states that you have to use the ARROW keys to move the sight.

If you have track-ir, I find if I block the leds with my hand, I can use the mouse for aiming.

It's not ideal... I'd like the option to aim with mouse and look around with trackir, like in ARMA3.

Who is the one who got this idea ?

Uhm ... a bit more convinient could be for you if you use a hotkey to pause TIR ...?

Personally, (I'm not sure if this is best) but when I switch to a gunner position I disable TrackIR with my assigned "Pause" key, (set in TrackIR manager) and then press LALT+C to enable mouse view (I think that's the key combo). I can then move the gun with my mouse, point, click, and guns guns guns!

It's worth noting I have this process mapped to my HOTAS to make things quick and easy.

I pause my trackIR as well (mapped to my joystick button). I don't even think you have to switch mouse modes since there's no "cursor" mode when you are in the gunner position or using the flex sight in the co-pilot position. Works well for me.

no one ?

if you are expecting the aiming of the minigun to be separated from the view of the user/camera,

this is not implemented at the moment, maybe in the future, past posts mentioned it is hard to allow this in the current code.

i was asking belsimtek if there could be axis commands for the minigun/m60d along with axis commands for camera view, and that was the answer i got.

BECAUSE OF THIS, USING OCULUS RIFT SUCKS BECAUSE NOW I HAVE A MINIGUN STUCK TO MY HEAD/BODY..

This simply doesn't work for me. This is what Im doing here>

Key 2 (gunner seat)

Key m (flexible sight)

pause trackir

lalt + C. Then my mouse controls the freelook cam not the sight.

Workarounds?

Another thing, how do I fly the huey while being in the gunner seat? I managed to do this once or twice but I can't remember what I've done lol. If you train a lot, trackir aiming and flying as a gunner can be very effective.

Just out of curiosity, what if you don't press alt+C after turning on the flex sight. I never have to do that.

As for your other question, autopilot automatically engages once you switch to flex sight or door gunner. All you have to do is disengage autopilot and you should be able to fly the helicopter. I've flown it from the door gunner position. Great fun.:)
