Milkbone Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 I'm trying to figure out a way for a group of A-10s to disengage and RTB after a group is killed, yet I cant find any Triggers to so this. I can only make them RTB if they are low on fuel or Ammo. Does anyone know how to do this? Also, is there a way to change the positions of way point or to direct craft away from a waypoint to another spot?
Sabre-TLA Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 You could try Advanced Waypoint Action, Perform Command: Switch Waypoint - P.174 in the User Manual. When the conditions for this action are in effect, the group will navigate from the current waypoint directly to the one set by this action. For example, the group can be made to fly from waypoint 3 directly to waypoint 6. When this command is executed, all other actions associated with the waypoint are stopped. Set the enable condition to your flag. Once your flag is set the aircraft should switch to the new waypoint. MapleFlagMissions - Read Our Blog for Updates
ENO Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 You can also set / force the task when the flag is set. If you don't know how to configure that let us know. "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art
Milkbone Posted May 15, 2014 Author Posted May 15, 2014 The Scenario I am working on goes like this. The A10's engages a group of sames nearby a separate group of of BMP's. Once the SAM's are destroyed several Apaches appear to finish off the BMP's. The Waypoint Change / RTB Ammo combo worked well for an F15E engaging some SAMs. After he hit the Waypoint he bugged out. My A10's however still engage after hitting the Way point, even after I set a flag to Hold Fire and change way point when the SAM group was destroyed. I set Flag 2 to turn on after the SAM group dies which is the condition for the way point change and hold fire. Is there something else I can do to force them to disengage? Also, what do you mean by set / force the task?
Milkbone Posted May 15, 2014 Author Posted May 15, 2014 After Much Fiddlinging I discovered how to do what I wanted. By messing with the en route task (which is the first task, greyed out, on the waypoint) and changing it to "No Task" the A-10's attacked their target and even declared that they were RTB before the missiles hit, the cocky bastards! Now the problem is that when they arrive at the base they just circle around it never actually landing. What Gives?

Perhaps it is a stupid question, but is the last waypoint on their route set to "Land"? For more information, please visit my website. ENO Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 (edited) I'll elaborate in a few moments- need to get to a proper keyboard This will work too. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=120836&highlight=Task+push So with that in mind ^ make a trigger that does AI TASK PUSH on the condition that your flag is true. You can make that task "RTB" in the manner described above. Edited May 15, 2014 by ENO "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art
