BeetleJuice Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 Resolution Refresh rate 1920 x 480 (triple 640) 60Hz 2400 x 600 (triple 800) 60Hz 3072 x 768 (triple 1024) 75Hz 3840 x 1024 (triple 1280) 60Hz :/
peterj Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 You think 60Hz is to low? No issue on TFT displays imo, since flicker isn't a problem. 60Hz ought to be enough for anyone ;) This is where you'd make good use of 'the fastest GPU you can get' * 2.
Guest EVIL-SCOTSMAN Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 although that pic looks cool, they did it wrong, they should of used a widescreen monitor for the middle, and the 2 side monitors for the side windows, instead of the way they have it there. Saying that, its is still cool and i wouldnt mind one.
bflagg Posted March 3, 2006 Author Posted March 3, 2006 I'd be just happier with a "wider view" like this... The question is... will LO support such resolutions? Thanks, Brett
G3 Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 hey evil, maybe its just a perspective issue, all screens may infact be the same, maybe not? when angled back my sides look similar, just like those antec 1080 cases that look sloped and are infact square. from some recent testing i believe lockon will support it, it most definately has ingame support for more than one monitor, it certainly works across 2 screens no worries, 3 like this is what i am trying to do with the 2 nvidia cards but so far no joy. in the graphics options ingame i have seen it offer me dual and triple diplay resolutions. i have had it working as above in fs9 with a program called wideview in a server/client setup. it allows you to do the same but each monitor is fed from its own pc which are in turn all networked together. as for lockon, 2 screens looks awesome, 3 would be shear optical heaven :) man this has some serious potential, thankyou.

But really a response from Olgred or Chizh may help here. Can / will LO support these resolutions? 3840 x 1024 (triple 1280) 60Hz???? Thanks, Brett
G3 Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 i concur, an official responce from ED is far better than my hearsay.
lerxster Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 ED can you confirm or otherwise that Lock On will be supported?
Hawg11 Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 ED can you confirm or otherwise that Lock On will be supported? OK. Let me check into it, Wiiilburrr. Dave "Hawg11" St. Jean
ED Team JimMack Posted March 9, 2006 ED Team Posted March 9, 2006 Matrox card supports 3 screens, and has been used for the last 2 years in the LockOn Breitling Challenge, see screenshot. Ice Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Lockon DOES support the widescreen views. Its just a matter of editing the View.cfg file to resolution and aspect ratio. EG: DisplayMode { resolution = {3840, 1024}; bpp = 32; fullscreen = 0; aspect = 3.75; Interface { resolution = {3840, 1024}; bpp = 32; fullscreen = 0; aspect = 3.75; } Simulation { resolution = {3840, 1024}; bpp = 32; fullscreen = 0; aspect = 3.75; } AVI { resolution = {1024, 768}; fullscreen = 0; aspect = 1.333299994; } The thing to be aware of however is you actually see 2/3rds less instead of seeing 3 times as much.
