=BURNING SKIES= WWII Server

Picture this: fly for 15 minutes just to be killed after your engine gets seized by '1 hit engine dead' bug. Repeat this for as many time as needed to realise that this map needs shorter distances, at least..

You can try changing the missions and see which one(s) will bring more players.

Yes, DCS has a lot of bugs! Server's stuff would like to create something for you. They are working for us absolutely free... Will you be happy if this initiative will be killed?

You either did not read the whole thread or you do not understand english as you draw the wrong conclusions...

Please, for the love of sanity, read it carefully and don't interpret what I'm asking here.. just don't. Thank you!

Sorry I didn't want to criticize the map or the mission.

It was because on my usual flight time there are seldom more than 2 people online (11pm utc+1).

Of course on the video there are many more online ... ;)

 

In my point of view the mission itself is great, you are not responsible for the dcs bugs.

Maybe you just need to adapt because of the dcs bugs - narrow the distances for example...

 

and SRS would be great (correct me if I'm wrong, I believe it wasn't included in the mission briefing)

DCS have every time a lack of Player because of the poor Environment of Planes..

Need ages to come across something new, that's most of the Time the Problem Players rejecting DCS..

There only comes at Times back when Normandie or 2.5 was released, when they dont like the far Distance they could play ACG as Example but there is also not any Player left...

But dont see any Time soon changes or new stuff that would increase the Player numbers sadly...

Maybe you just need to adapt because of the dcs bugs - narrow the distances for example...

I guess by increasing the distance they tried to prevent excessive vulching.

I'm in this category of player.

It's not the server's fault. There will always be demand for dogfight servers in any combat sim.

At the moment the base environment is not convincing.

Many of the expected assets are still missing. The Normandy map unfinished and is lagging behind the level of polish that we see in the Caucasus map.

AI aircraft behaviour doesn't help and the DMs, especially for the AI are unsuitable to using them to flesh out the mutliplayer environment.

 

If this stuff gets fixed I shall be flying a lot more, and I know loads of others who will do the same. But in its current state, DCS WW2 provides little to convince me that my limited gaming time is best spent there. At that time I'd expect the server offerings to start diversifying.

 

If only.....

Yep! A lot of us are in this same category. With me it’s more about the piss poor DM. However, like you I know lots of players that have left due to the frustration caused by the lack of (perceived) concern for the issues. I don’t believe player numbers are a reflection of the current mission or a reflection on Eekz and his work. The majority of these controlling issues are outside anyone’s control except DCS. Of coarse I know I’m preaching to the choir!

this could be surpressed by installing flaks around the airfields

 

vulching was a problem in il2 as well, but somehow it worked that it was frowned ...

I read every piece of feedback, even if I don't post the response.

 

one thing would be SRS .. and only that instead of "here is our discord, here is our ts and here is srs..."

but that is only my preference (others might love ts and hate srs instead ... ) ;)

 

about the mission: I think it's fine, maybe the distances could be closer to each other ...

attack on bomberformations would also be nice, since bombing with an bf109 isn't that fun (from axis point of view).

on the other side it would be nice to have escort missions for the allies (ok the scripting might be bad ... human controlled bombers would be the solution...)

And back to DCS, that is not possible for Eekz because the AI makes a stuttering Fest out of the MP session...

Even when new players are joining the MP Session, you have currently 5 sec of stuttering and Freezes...

And the down Size of the Mission is pain for Allies and Axis, the most know from what is speak Camp Fest par excellence without fun for both Sides..

People, please stop with this non-sense. I didn't start this to complain about the bugs nor the missing feature of DCS WWII, but to make the most of what we have. That being said, we, the players that still want to play DCS, AS IT IS, would really like to NOT spend a lot of time finding each other on the current mission. I propose having a mission, besides the existing one, where we can have ground targets to attack and to defend and distances between airfields that are proportional to the number of players on the map. During the weekdays there's a small number of players on the server, and for this and only for this, I kindly ask you eekz to take my request into consideration. That is ALL.

Doesn't want that Thread go down in a Whine Thread, only want to point out that eekz can move the Size backwards and fowards in without change of the Player Numbers.

back to topic: had a fun mission yesterday, unfortunately I was alone on the server at 23h utc+1 .. when are you folks online?

 

 

 

Just from my personal observation I’ve noticed the majority of players during the week appear to be online sometime between 19z-23z. I believe it’s during this time window that the server gets overlap between European and United States based players.
