panther494th Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 hi is there away here to set buttons on the mouse many thx
313_Nevo Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 I set my 4th & 5th mouseButtons (to Ctrl & Shift fcn) in Win if you asking this. Ingame the buttons acts like normal keyboard keys. I can't afford TrackIR 5. I can't set aside so much money. So I am happy with the mouse. In the end it is aaalmost the same, you move your head I move my hand :)
StandingCow Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 (edited) You might be able to find a cheaper track IR4 on ebay or go with that free facetracknoir program and buy a webcam... would be better than mouselook I would assume? snuffles Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 If you're going down the FreeTrack/FreeTrack route, don't skimp on your webcam - or, do your research at least. You will need it to sample at a decent resolution at 30fps minimum. Resolutions above 720p are ideal I don't always openly list my things. But when I do, I put it in my signature.
Slazi Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 If my TrackIR were to fail, I'd but another one right away -- I wouldn't fly w/o it. WC Same. TIR makes a huge difference for me. Try flying the Sabre and being able to track the enemy you just shot down fall all the way to the ground over your left shoulder. Once you get it setup right, it feels horrible to play without it. Saying that, there aren't THAT many games you can use it in. If you don't play DCS much, it probably isn't worth it unless you play any other flight sims / driving sims or Arma.
313_Nevo Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 another cool tip for HOMAS setup I think A4Tech Bloody Commander ML16 :)
