I'm looking pilots for multiplayer flights

I would like to join the group of pilots for multiplayer flights on the servers.

I have advanced knowledge of the A-10C and beginners knowledge of Mig-21.

My recommendation is to join a squad. I am with the 159th (cadet). They are a great group. If they are not what you are looking for there are many others to choose from.

I need, I need, I need... What about my wants? QuickSilver original.

"Off with his job" Mr Burns on the Simpsons.

"I've seen steering wheels / arcade sticks / flight sticks for over a hundred dollars; why be surprised at a 150 dollar item that includes the complexities of this controller?! It has BLINKY LIGHTS!!" author unknown.

These titles are listed in the chronological order I purchased them.

I have frequently wanted to join a clan, squad, or whatever. My problem is that my work is very unpredictable so I cannot dedicate the kind of time required for such things. I joined a group very briefly (DCS Mercenaries) and they were all great guys. But their flight schedule and the tasks that they required of me just did not coincide with my work schedule. I am sometimes gone for several weeks at a time and I usually don't get the opportunity to fly more than an hour or two a day. Kind of sucks because I really love flying and wish I had the time to dedicate to it. I miss out on a lot of what would otherwise be great training and experience with people who know the AC much better than I do.

It can be difficult going into a server as a complete stranger to everyone in there and then wondering if you are interfering with whatever they're doing or you get made into Swiss cheese fairly quickly because everyone there sees a new guy. It's a lonely life being a part timer............

Seemingly a lot of these threads mushrooming all of a sudden :)

Over in the 159th, apart from a perfunctory 'check-flight' on entry to the Squad (and even then only to ensure that you know your throttle from your cyclic etc etc), no schedule or tasks are set by us and demanded from new recruits, reason being that it is first and foremost a hobby, with the understanding that real-life will ALWAYS take precedence.

That said, you get out what you put in. We as 159th Squad members are always willing and able to assist new members in whatever airframe they wish to fly so at the end of the day your schedule will determine your progress.

I also hasten to add that this is not an attempt to actively recruit you - all I am stating is that there are Squads out there that understand individual member circumstances and as a consequence are not task/schedule-orientated but more orientated to provide an environment where all their members, irrespective of status, can have a virtual home to attend at their own pace and time, drawing from the collective experience of the entire Squad membership.

If you are interested in further info, stop by our forums and have a looksee - we're always willing to help: All you gotta do is ask :)
