Can anyone in the know, point me in the right direction: I am looking for a GPwiz 40 board from a UK supplier but I seem to be running around in circles and getting nowhere. If there isn't one, has anybody in UK ordered one from groovygamegear, if so was there any problems associated with it, ie shipping, product not arriving etc.? Cheers and thanks for looking.

Windows 7 64 Home Premium, i5 3570K (3.4 @ 4.4GHz), Asus P8Z77-V LX, 16GB dual channel 1600 ram, EVGA Nvidia GTX980ti, 240 GB OCZ SSD, 3 TB Raptor, Thrustmaster Warthog Hotas and Throttle, Saitek Pro Combat Rudder pedals.

I know you are asking for GP Wiz 40, but just so you know Leo Bodnar is based in UK (http://www.leobodnar.com/shop/).

I belive they are a little more expensive than Groovygamegear but taking location into consideration it might be worth while.

I'll give leobodnar a look. I was asking about gpwiz purely because most of the tutorials here for pit building seemed to point at them. I don't mind paying a bit more so long as they do the same thing. I'll let you know how I get on. Many thanks for taking time to get back to me.

Thanks for the offer of help, I will probably need it. I have been reading through this part of the forum for days sifting information and trying to decide which route to follow as there are so many different ways to go. Some really awesome pits here.

I think I will go with: Make a generic electrical panel, this would allow me to get the hardware (board, switches etc) put together, learn how to set up the export lua and finally make the switches communicate with DCS. Once I have mastered that I will probably go full cockpit and move it to spare bedroom as it's already to big for my lounge.

I am going to order the BBi Button box from Leo and I can get SPST toggle switches quite cheap on Ebay. I will give you a shout when they land and maybe you can give me some pointers if thats ok?.

Cheers

Hi, I bought the GGG from the US to Australia, absolutely no problems mate, turned up pretty quickly well packaged, I wouldnt worry about ordering and you will see there website is overseas friendly once you start ordering.

Ive got 3 now but messed up with one, I bought a non USB version, make sure you get the USB one.

Quick question about these boards.

1) Can they handle a Rotary Encoder? (i.e. Baro altimeter or HDG bug)

2) when ordering them, there's the USB numbering option of 1-4 with 1 being (Use if FIRST or ONLY on this exact controller) I need to order 3 of htem so do i just leave that option at 1, but put 3 in the cart?

thanks guys

Leo boards can handle encoders, and also rotary switches no problem, I use them on my steering wheel for sim racing in fact. The leo boards also each have a unique USB ID, so using more than one, and windows remembering calibration and settings is a non issue if turned off or USB socket switched for some reason.
