ED Team NineLine Posted December 4, 2014 ED Team Posted December 4, 2014 So is there any source where you can see that the bf109 has to be trimmed totally noseheavy to takeoff safely? I dont trim when I take off though... besides any recommendations from the manual. Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
Hadwell Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 yeah the trim is messed, there's no way neutral trim should force you to push forwards so much on the stick on takeoff, you should be able to trim it to nose itself into the ground on takeoff if you want, it shouldn't want to always do a backflip on takeoff.../ My youtube channel Remember: the fun is in the fight, not the kill, so say NO! to the AIM-120. KeyserSoze Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 I have to agree with you guys. Even after trim set to full nose down, the plane still moves upward. Hard to shoot accurate when it continues moving up and ya can't trim properly. I hope ED will fix it. DB_Cooper Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 no its no mapping issue...i can see the trimwheel moving just fine...its just with fully nose down trim the plane still wants to slightly pull the nose up. same with me. plane wants to raise upward after trim is set to nose down. have to keep the stick forward to fly level. i7 6700k, Windows 10, 1000w psu, gtx 1080, TM Warthog, Asus Rog Swift 27" monitor, mfg crosswind pedals 190-D9, 109-K4, P-51, Spitfire MK lX
Europa Posted April 12, 2018 Posted April 12, 2018 +1 I just bought the plane and test it. The plane is extremely tail heavy and tends to erect the nose. Even with the trim stap set to the full nose down position it is barely enough. Though it is surprisingly strage to hear that while some people reporting the same problem others are fine with it. Is it a bug or is it something else?

Is it a bug or is it something else? You also need some rudder to keep it level, but this is how it flies. The condition is worse at higher speeds, and you don't want to enter a high speed with it trimmed for level flight as you will never pull out. ED as noted this is correct based on their research both historical testing docs and pilot interviews both current and WWII vet. Europa Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 More on the subject here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=200423 I have read that but did not understand anything somebody has to translate it for me in plane English. Besides I am not discussing the hands off flight but I think the aircraft has some balance issue due to the miss alligned center of gravity.
