Hi i am new with the mig and steadily tying to learn it. But as soon as it goes with the radio i can not comm with anything except the ground crew. Tried all i could (manuals, forums, youtube), the settings seems to be right and still not working..i don't see much about radio problems on the forum. Could it be an installation problem whatsoever??

plz help i am loosing the immersion!:helpsmilie::helpsmilie:

Does it happen during any particular training/single mission or any of them? Are You sure You've got radio switch on and radio channel selector set to the correct airbase?

Hi! The above you mentioned are ok from my side.

Actually, it works for me atm only with the instant action mission "intercept", which is a runway start and the plane is already set for T/O. But nowhere else till now..

I took a photo from the "intercept" cockpit settings and copied them to my start up but nothing changed..

These switches are set up OK. Flipping the "Radio" switch up not necessary at this moment, but that's not a problem. It seems that something else is not turned on, my guess is You forgot about both PO-750 converters (back part of the right vertical panel) - the plane will start without them, but the radio won't work. Check Your start up procedure again.

The only thing that stands out to me is in top picture is channel 14 and the lower is channel 0

The converters are on. Except something went wrong/failure which i had not tried the emergency inverter. But for every time i started a mission a had failures?? dunno.

But i started the campaign and at the first mission i could only comm the Ground crew. On the second i got to comm with the ATC's however not the ground crew, also had some sound issues (like the ATC announcer was duplicating words ). On the third no issues with sounds but still no comm with the ground crew.

Which basically means no rearm/refuel, no reps etc and could be explained as the mission plan is already set and don't wont you to mess up things.

Well, nice touch! But you already have it on your Knee board in English :megalol: and also i have explained above that i know how to set the radio. I am looking for something more complicated.

I´m only trying to help.

In the interception mission i´m using 14th radio channel and the ATC always respond. On 0 channel i´m able to talk with the AWACS also.

In custom missions using this corrected radio channels plate i haven´t any problem at all talking with any ATC tower.

The only thing i can see in your second pic is that you have the radio switch on COMPASS instead of RADIO. So you are not able to receive anything from the ATC, only the morse code from the RSBN or ARK channel selected. For be able to communicate with ATC you must select the RADIO position.

^ No, that ain't right. The switch position is irrelevant here - both positions allow You to communicate with ATC/other aircraft, the only difference is switch down will also give You ARK/RSBN signals, while switch up will not. Down is the default position in all hot start missions, as can be seen on the second screen.

BadHabit, what about other single/training missions? I know there was a time when radio channels were mismatched, and I know one of the patches fixed it for single, instant and tutorial missions, but maybe the campaign ones were not adjusted? I don't know, since I've never flown it.

Yes man i'am sorry. The second picture is from the AI/missions setup. which was working. But does really this switch do that?

I think i must run some more test and come back here to post them so we have a clearer picture if this is a bug or my fault.

No, it doesn't work in the Campaing (Cold Starts) either:

http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=130537

You have to open all mission files, make a small change and save them. Plz fix this, Leatherneck!

Nice how the hell i did not found this post earlier. Thnx!

You don't care of the bug if you know how to fix it :D

Just in every mission go to mission planner make a small "no matter" change and gtg!

I was having the same issue with no radios in the campaign, and opening the mission and saving did nothing. I opened up each campaign mission individually and in my case Kutaisi, the friendly AWACS and my flight all had the same frequency for EVERY mission. DCS won't let you talk to three separate callsigns on the same channel at once. The solution I have (worked for me 100%) is this:

1. Open each campaign mission in the ME one at a time.

2. Find your friendly AWACS and change the freq to 150 Mhz AM in it's options.

3. Find you aircraft (Flight) and change the freq to 140 Mhz AM.

4. On the last tab on your aircraft, the radio freq tab, adjust channel 00 and 01 to reflect your two new freqs. I made my flight 00, AWACS 01..whatever you want. Make sure your new freqs are NOT the same as any other in the list. The remainder will not have to be changed. Just so you know, whatever you make channel 00, it will automatically become your flight freq.

5. When finished making changes. save the mission and do the campaign.

6. Lastly, I noticed on a lot of my campaign missions, the AWACS route is very, very short and just ended with no landing (like 20km for an E3), so I made them bigger. Not sure if it was supposed to be like this or a screw up like the freqs, but whatever.. And if anyone doesn't know why you can't contact ATC on the very first mission, it's because Krymsk is set as neutral. Change it to BLUE, you're good to go.

Anyway, you're mileage may vary, but these all made my campaign run 100%.
