VirusAM Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 i would say the from my sig link. here i merged all. but i have never tested it, because i didnt own the hornet Last weekend I tested extensively and it was working, I have the multi panel and 2 switch panel (on Amazon were only 44 euros so I took 2 of them), not yet the radio panel. Also I would like to share my hornet profiles, but first I need to solve some issue with the formulas for which I asked capt seen help...I hope he is back home and can help us. Steve Gee Posted January 17, 2019 Posted January 17, 2019 Just getting into the Saitek/Logitech panels, I didn't look through all 103 pages, but I found a Logitech tool to make sure the panels are at least connected and respond to switch movements, if anyone's interested and maybe doesn't have it: Logitech Panel Tester It's the Logitech Support site. Scroll down a bit, it's called "Flight Panels Test Software". "These are NOT 1 to 1 replicas of the real aircraft, there are countless compromises made on each of them" - Senior ED Member Modules - Damn near all of them (no Christian Eagle or Yak) System - Ryzen 9 7900X, 64Gig DDR5 RAM, RTX-4090, 3 32" monitors @1440, default settings of High (plus some)
Tempest7 Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 So I didn't read through all 130 pages, but could someone let me know if these panels: https://www.logitechg.com/en-us/products/flight/flight-simulator-switch-panel.html act like any other HID or joystick where I could (presumably) map them to any buttons or switches or is there significant setup required to get it to work specifically with DCS?

No, they won’t show up in joystick control panel and dcs (or ant other sim) won’t see them. only fsx/p3d and xplane have official plugins. However thanks to these wonderful program (dcs flight panels and dcs-bios), you will be able to use it also with dcs. Setup is easy, programming also, just a bit time consuming R7-5800X3D 64GB RTX-4090 LG-38GN950 N/A Realsimulator FFSB MKII Ultra+F-16 grip+F/A-18 grip, VKB Stecs Max, VKB T-Rudder MKV, Razer Tartarus V2 Secrets Lab Tytan, Monstertech ChairMounts
Tempest7 Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 Thanks that's helpful. I'll see if I want to make the leap for that then or wait until I finish the rest of my sim pit haha
VampireOne Posted February 18, 2019 Posted February 18, 2019 After the latest update, FPDCS will not connect to DCS anymore.. the little wheel does not spin even though it says "enabled"... anyone else with this problem? [sIGPIC]If you are still under control you are not going fast enough[/sIGPIC]

VampireOne Posted February 19, 2019 Posted February 19, 2019 Nope. The issue was a missing link in the export.lua file. ron533 Posted February 19, 2019 Posted February 19, 2019 (edited) HIGH CPU Usage?! Hi, I've noticed high CPU usage with DCSFlightpanels, avarage 30% - 35%... seems too high... it's like that even when DCS is not running at all, just DSCFP alone. I've got I7 4790K CPU (HT disabled), 16GB RAM. using latest DCS BIOS and FP versions (2.98 ) Any ideas why? Thanks Edited February 21, 2019 by ron533 Callsign SETUP
Guest Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 That is certainly not OK. I just started DCSFP and it uses <2% when in the Huey running engine and 2 radio panels, Multi + Switch panel. Which profile and which airplane was it? I am wondering if there is something specific that is causing it. If you can post you profile. And no errors in the error log? Guest Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 (edited) I really don't know what is going on. I tried your A-10C with BIP and the CPU load was like 2.3% at peak. And your Windows + .Net Framework updated I guess. Reboots doesn't help? 30-35% is insane. Do you have another computer to just run DCSFP on? You have HyperThreading off. Do you have various special settings made in your PC? I don't know whether it can cause anything like this but but.. here's a link for the entire folder with my profiles https://www.dropbox.com/sh/5taixlm8re6hk10/AAA1T_O5vL-snpXr9GtTz232a?dl=0 It happens even when no profile is loaded Thank you. Guest Posted February 23, 2019 Posted February 23, 2019 Well.. If one of the panels are broken I guess it could flood DCSFP with data, i.e. as if a dial was being changed all the time and in an insane rate. If you try the panels separately, is the problem gone then? It could be a DCSFP feature to report if some panel data are coming at an unrealistic rate. Tried it on another pc and it runs fine there. Without any panel connected the CPU goes to ~3%. Each panel by itself takes around ~17% together they reach ~35% + -. I've tried to load them both with no profile at all, or with only Key emulator, but no change was noticed. still high CPU usage as before as soon as I launch DCSFP with any panel connected. EDIT: I've added the debug log from the last run. new clean log with DCSFP running for 3 minutes only with Switch panle alone. John_Charles37 Posted February 25, 2019 Posted February 25, 2019 Thanks Black Library and Ron 533 for all bindings profiles Does it exist FA18-C profile for PZ55 and PZ70 I found the last Ron533 but it is for BIP and they are some keys on PZ55. I agree with you that with Tutorials Paul Marsh it is an excellent manner to begin :)
emc Posted February 25, 2019 Posted February 25, 2019 (edited) Hi, My panels stop working. I see in debugs mesages go out form DCSFP but A-10 do not act. I use profile Flight Panel A-10C (WarLord).bindings with corrected dev ID. My settings: * D:\Users\mplic\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Scripts\DCS-BIOS\doc\json * 239.255.50.10 * 5010 * 127.0.0.1 * 7778 Where to check, how to start dig in? *EDIT my Export.lua dofile(lfs.writedir()..[[scripts\DCS-BIOS\BIOS.lua]]) local dcsSr=require('lfs'); dofile(dcsSr.writedir()..[[scripts\DCS-SimpleRadioStandalone.lua]]) local vaicomlfs=require('lfs'); dofile(vaicomlfs.writedir()..[[scripts\VAICOMPRO\VAICOMPRO.export.lua]]) local Tacviewlfs=require('lfs'); dofile(Tacviewlfs.writedir()..'Scripts/TacviewGameExport.lua') **EDIT Fixed, I just overwrite DCSFP and BIOS and it helped. John_Charles37 Posted February 27, 2019 Posted February 27, 2019 (edited) HI EMC I suppose that you do not have any problem with ID copy Did-you have a problem of update Firewall Did-you change something about DCSBIOS Did you download a new version? Did-you try to launch DCS and after Launch Control-Reference.html and verify that DCS BIOS is connected with DCS Did-you try to use in your export.lua only the first line You make a backup of your export.lau and uses only dofile(lfs.writedir()..[[scripts\DCS-BIOS\BIOS.lua]]) About your last file on export.lua Iam not an expert but you do not have any[[ local Tacviewlfs=require('lfs'); dofile(Tacviewlfs.writedir()..'Scripts/TacviewGameExport.lua') like in [[scripts\VAICOMPRO\VAICOMPRO.export.lua]]) It is some ideas Maclaw Edited February 27, 2019 by John_Charles37
Guest Posted February 27, 2019 Posted February 27, 2019 I will start programming F-5E radios now. I will look into something that could count data from the panels. Now because it is evenly distributed I don't think it is the panels (broken sensor) but maybe the driver. Regardless I will look into it. Can't help you more than that though. Did you connect the panels to the other computer too when testing DCSFP there? Same CPU load? Without any panel connected the CPU goes to ~3%. Each panel by itself takes around ~17% together they reach ~35% + -.
JaBoG32_Prinzartus Posted February 27, 2019 Posted February 27, 2019 Sure... ofcourse...! Hope it wont eat their CPU as well :megalol: Quite some time ago with an older version of DCS-Flightpanels I suddenly had a monstrious CPU utilisation when flight-panels was running. What has helped back then was compiling the aplication with some Visual Studio on my pc. I do not fully understand what had introduced the issue in the first place though. Guest Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 No order required. Sometimes I even wonder why the wheel isn't spinning but then I find out I have pause on in DCS. But if you find anything special that seems like a bug then report it and I will try and find it. Is there an order to launch DCSFP I had some problem because first I launch DCSFP with profile binding which work sometimes and not another day. Today I launch 1-DCS Game 2-DCS Mission A10-C 3-Inside the mission DCSFP.exe 4-Profile binding A10-C And I wait that the wheel spin All seems good It is a little be complicated
Guest Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 OK this sounds interesting. I remember it has happened several times that a version I sent to pdmarsh for testing didn't work although I ran it. So I think there must be something in Visual Studio or if I didn't remember making a "Clean" before building the project. Also this 32-bit/64-bit was problematic at times.
