Hello all,

I have a copy of DCS A-10C that was bought from ED, not steam, and lately every time I try to start a campaign or something, things quit working properly and it starts asking for an activation key, which I have already entered when I first bought the sim. Any help??

What happens when you aktivate your key in this field again?

Btw I use steam so I think thats all what I could do atm sry...

I had the same issue when trying to launch the game via TARGET (TM Software)...would stop in the middle of loading a mission, drops to Desktop and ask for Activation key, even though I have a Steam version. Then when it went back to loading the game, it could not locate any mission briefing, so would take me back to the main menu.

Finally, after hours and hours of frustration setting up my new controllers, to no avail, I did a Steam integrity check and that fixed everything.

Oh, and I uninstalled that TARGET and Saitek software too.

Good luck!

I don't have the Steam version, however I recently bought a Saitek X55. Right before it starts asking for the activation, I notice alot of my buttons quit performing their functions properly. It all seems to start with pressing of the CTRL key.

Even after I "activate" the software, it keeps doing it. Almost ready to say screw it and buy the steam version, don't have issues with steam DCS World or the F-15C Module, even with pressing CTRL

Clean install, I've done everything that I know how to do with the skills I have. Still getting the same issue.

You've probably tried this already, map the controller via options menu if you can. It's probably something w the controller software (SMART TECHNOLOGY) porking you setup/game.

I bought a Warthog HOTAS and Saitek Combat Pedals yesterday, and had issue for 6-7 hours until I did the integrity check. Steam found something like 90+ bad or missing files (probably due to that TARGET software for the Warthog), about 90megs. Steam auto downloaded and installed/fixed everything within a few minutes.

I fly F4 BMS also and I just program the HOTAS via that controller menu in-game as well...works and is nice and easy.

Was frustrating as hell! Now I'm loving it...even though had a bit of a problem getting it to work, was very well worth it!

Good luck!

I have this all the time too since I installed my saitek software. I always skip it and everything seems fine. It does it for all my modules too, not just the A-10C. Sometimes it even asks me to activate more than one on one launch.

is this something to do with the Saitek software? Currently I have a Saitek X55 running with a trackir 5. I have the commands programmed into a profile using the saitek software. I guess I should look into binding with the actual in game?
