Shepski Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 The AI SU-27 will fly with leading edge slats extended dependent on airspeed and not angle of attack. With the AI in formation with the player flown Su-27 the AI will have slats extended at speeds under 700 km/h IAS. Once they reach 700 the slats will retract. This bug causes excessive drag and fuel burn for AI aircraft which impacts missions because they will run out of fuel well before the player. The slats logic for AI Su-27s should be based on angle of attack and not airspeed.

SDsc0rch Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 i think AI run out of fuel so soon is mainly due to their unnecessary and inordinate afterburner use.. i7-4790K | Asus Sabertooth Z97 MkI | 16Gb DDR3 | EVGA GTX 980 | TM Warthog | MFG Crosswind | Panasonic TC-58AX800U [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Shepski Posted January 24, 2015 Author Posted January 24, 2015 Part of the problem because of the excess drag they need to be in burner to catch up and sometimes keep up.
combatace Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Extended slats bug has been there in FC in ages. This has been the main cause of them running out of fuel. SFM or PFM this has been there since long long time. To support my models please donate to paypal ID: hp.2084@gmail.com https://www.turbosquid.com/Search/Artists/hero2084?referral=hero2084
