IonicRipper Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 I just got a TM Warthog and im looking for ideas to setup my new joystick. I want to keep it as simple as possible. The important thing for me is to have the stick and throttle positioned as close as possible to the real thing. Im still debating between mounting them to my chair or my desk. Any suggestions? i5 4590 @ 3.77GHz | GTX 1060 6GB | 16GB 1600MHz DDR3 | 1TB HDD+500GB HDD | Win10 Home X64 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Mr_Burns Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 There are plenty in here from drawer slides under your desk to extensions to you Warthog. What kind of chair do you have? You could make something that clamps to the round pipe that covers the pneumatic lift and places a small table at the stick and throttle locations. Lots of people have used PVC pipe for this, could get a scaffolding type clamp. Others who have a wooden base to their chair seat have screwed wooden batons into it at the throttle and stick locations, just make sure you use the right length screws or it wont be so comfortable. Depending on your desk, I have seen folks who have clamped extensions to the desk for a removable stick and throttle base, you may need to make some legs though or it wouldnt be sturdy. Just look through all the threads, you will get heaps of inspiration!
Sabre-TLA Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 I used two boards shoved under the seat of my desk chair for quite some time. Worked well enough until I decided to make a real pit. MapleFlagMissions - Read Our Blog for Updates
