Hi all,

I was just wondering whether realisticly, the A10 shouldnt return to level flight by it self from a turn when letting loose of the stick.

Any thoughts ideas ?

In fc it doesnt do it, it just stays stable and requires counter steering to return.

thanks and wbr

As far I know low-wing planes don't have this ability.

Anway A-10 is almost complete fantasy plane in LockOn, so anything can happen.

Man, your emoticon :D Really funny. Haven't seen that one.

Because the A-10 has some dihedral built in, it should roll itself back to level, but that is only if it begins to sideslip, so it could be possible that it wouldn't roll itself back lavel. But then again, like shamandgg said, it is Lock-On.;)

The A-10 is a fantasy plane? Eh?

The FM is actually a little undermodelled in terms of power, and the A-10's flight characteristics are pretty good (ie. stall leads to the nose dropping low, but no spins etc)

Nope, the real A10 is entirely manual - no software involved in the controls at all. No need for it.

Yeah theres normal flight controls and manual backup for emergencys.:helpsmilie:

That happens in airplanes of high mounted wings like cesna , where the weight is under the wing creating a pendulum effect that kep the wing leveled. the a-10 is a low wing airplane. And I doont know if lomac a-10 FM is correct. I:cry: M NOT AN A-10 PILOT , SO I cant tell you if th FM IS ACURATE, BUT I use to have an low wing rc airplane , and after a stall, it will drop the wing to the left , and in orther to level the wings and recover I will have to move the stik to the left and push (dwn elevator), that effect is an aileron reversal. It was modelled in a-10 cuba sim.

Yup, sure is. If it weren't a fantasy plane it would turn quite a bit tighter than it does in LOMAC. :smilewink:

Would be nice to have the A10 at least a little bit tweaked in BS

I must say I have a problem with these kind of cheap statements like the A-10 being a "fantasy plane". If you look at the original data provided with lomac, http://www.lockon.ru/index.php?end_pos=574&scr=default&lang=en ,

I would say it seems to me that the developers are at least rather knowledgable about the performances of the jets they modelled.

It is not because ED has redefined flight modelling with the AFM in the Su-25T, that the SFM's of the other planes are complete fantasy. They where already very good also.

Work so far on BS shows hat the developers keep having a fine eye for details and are improving the whole game peace by peace. So I wouldn't be pessimistic; I'm sure also the Warthog drivers will find improvements.
