I want to know if the F-15 or SU-27 carry bombs and ground attack missiles/rockets and do they have ground attack missions for these planes or is it only air superiority?

Yes, the Su-27 does. All variants of the F-15 have had provisions to drop bombs, but only in foreign service have any models but the Strike Eagle actually used it.

In DCS you can load a Su-27 with bombs and rockets and you have a nice air-to-ground mode that will also work for strafing, but the F-15C doesn't have any of it modeled.

One note on the SU-27 in A2G mode: the CCIP reticule appears to be calculated based off the radar altitude of the plane. This means that the range indicated by the piper is only valid if you are aiming at something which is at the same altitude as the patch of land you are currently flying over.

When fighting in the mountains with the SU-27, you will find it necessary to use extremely steep (80 degrees or greater) dive angles to be accurate with bombs. Rockets are more forgiving, as long as you fire several at once. Cannon is nearly useless, except against unarmored targets.

I haven't really tried the Su-27 in AG role, but take into account that it is pretty limited and can only carry dumb bombs and rockets. No missiles or any other guided AG weapons.

Is Su-27 cannon the same AP DU rounds or more of an anti-aircraft variety? because I was thinking about trying it against tanks. Can its ammo be selectable?

AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

The Sukhoi's A2G role is very secondary (Ex. No guided munitions), so its shells are A2A in FC3. As far as I know you cannot change them (You can in the MiG-21bis), and they'll do very little against anything but soft targets.

You have to take into account that the Sukhoi modelled in FC3 is of the original variant. Later models have very advanced A2G sensors and munitions. Unfortunately, they are not present in DCS.

The Su-33, on the other hand can carry a range of A2G munitions, some of which are very effective against ships. Hopefully, one day it will also get an PFM, surely it can't be that much more work than for the Su-27..

And I think they've said they have no good data to do an Su-33 AFM/PFM. It might be the only FC3 aircraft left in the flight model upgrade dust unless they get their hands on some good data.
