Is there a way too centre TrackIR in the module options for each ac or do I have to learn to use the target software with the Warthog?

So you want to have a button to center your TrackIR?

That is done within TrackIR software itself.

In the middle left section of the program. It's called HOTKEYS.

If its the veiw in the airplane you are talking about, it's default to numpad enter.

Also take a look at this video for TrackIR:

You also can, if you like, use one of your joystick/Hotas buttons to center TIR.

You can but, there is a gotcha. TIR doesn't distinguish between devices. If you have multiple controllers sending DX and you assign TIR center to DX1 from 'Joystick 1', then every controller that sends a DX1 signal will center your TIR.

Last time I checked TIR software doesn't let you map joystick buttons at all. I have to remap HOTAS throttle MIC switch UP to an unused keyboard key using JoyTokey and map that keyboard key in the TIR software...

Yup, they really need to fix this. I use the center mouse button for my pause and the NWS button on my Warthog conflicts with it, the only solution I've found is to start TIR, then plug in the WH stick after.

I use Target anyway, so assigning a key combo to the TIR functions works fine for me. Most programmable mice should also allow for that to be done as well.

Yeah, I was wanting to use the shifted trim had down for centre trackir. Looks like I'll need to use Target after all to make use of the shifted functionality.

Cheers guys :-)

Consider an AutoHotkey script which can be ained at a specific USB device button, say DX15 on the WH Throttle, and intiate a F15 or F16 call for TrackIR. Will be not be confused by another USB device. For me 1 button works both centre and pause......a short press for pause, longer for center.... Works well... even with TAGRET.. shout if stuck although there much in the forums and if not found I will get you sorted... if required.... :pilotfly:

Kind Regards

After I've installed TARGET (to turn OFF the LEDs, nothing else) it seems TIR accepts a joystick button as input. It didn't when TARGET wasn't installed. Guess I don't need JoyToKey anymore. Thanks for reminding me to try again. :)

Hi Folks,

If I may, let me say how I recenter my TrackIr(5).

First, I don't use TARGET and will never use it. LEDs are still okay though my TM Warthog is nearly 4 years old.

I speak for those using the TM HOTAS Warthog.

I know, that this will probably reduce possibilities for those who don't.

But, hey, why wouldn't it possible for those using a different HOTAS to do the same ?

Anyway, in the TrackIR interface, it's always possible to find a button to use as Cichlidfan said before.

I've mapped the centering option to the red button found on the left throttle axis (button 15) for recentering my TrackIR.

This button had no use so far, and I only use it for that purpose.

No problem so far.

I'm no genius, and don't claim to hold the truth for those who are reading me. But that's simply how I do it.

Hoping that's helping.

Cheers

Laurius

I'm using a Saitek X-55, the throttle and stick are considered two separate devices. My center TIR button on the stick (button 2) doesn't conflict with anything, certainly not button 2 on the throttle. That said, I use in game assignments rather than the HUD software. Shouldn't make a difference but maybe it does. TIR has supported this feature since at least 2012, that's when I finally made the switch and it worked from day 1.

Forgot to say, i'm using Warthog throttle Mic switch for this. Up is pause, down is center.

Forward and back i use for zooming in slow and out in the different planes. Have'nt tried it on other buttons.

Does not seem to conflict with any button pressen on other controllers. I have target installed but are not using it.
