Maybe I wouldn't try it in real life, unless it was my last day flying ever...either way that's what Sims are for. Also, I am pretty sure engines did not scrape. Too bad I can't upload track because for some reason I am limited to upload size on here otherwise I'd allow you to analyze and pick up your jaw from the floor. =D

Try zipping it....

Cheers.

Very nice Chris, maybe i'll give it a try.

Hell yes Blaze, give it a whirl!

I now challenge all to make this a cobra maneuver into landing video thread. True cobra maneuver into landing too. I don't wanna see any high angle 5nm approaches being called "Cobra Maneuver Into Landing".

Kuky, this goes for you as well. See if you can best me. "Test":joystick: your skills:pilotfly:

Here's the track link everyone! Enjoy!

Fantastic

AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

I'll give this a go...

Slightly off topic, does anyone else feel that the landing gear and wheels on the Flanker model received a significant robustness increase with the last patch? I've never seen the old nose wheel bursting issue, not even once at full load, since the last patch. That with the adjusted exhaust nozzle petal behaviour has made the Flanker much tamer to trundle around on the ground now.

Nice tricky landing Chris! Congratz!

I was attempting some Cobra landings on the Kuznetsov but so far it didn't go well. What I was trying is to fly low at rather low speed (350+) and try to touch-down right on the Cobra exit. It's a really tight spot if it's even possible.

Now do it on the carrier... I think there's an old Flaming Cliffs 2 video of it somewhere. :))

Good job.

i remember that one too but it was performed with old SFM flight model which has limitation and suitable to try that kind of things.

old lockon days cobra crosswind landing with SFM:

:)

''we need su-33 PFM for intend to perform cobra carrier landing'':)

or more and more effort to perform with su-27

Damn that's still a respectable landing

i think so!

even with sfm i should be very hard. i cant imagine the difficulty of same maneouvre with pfm, i guess it is almost impossible.:joystick:
