IonicRipper Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 (edited) I knew about the Su-27's body lift but... After some fighting with a pair of Eagles, I decided to check on my wingman and saw this: Coming in for landing Decided to go around Went back in my plane and when I checked on him again, he apparently "landed" a few miles away from the airfield Edited May 31, 2015 by IonicRipper i5 4590 @ 3.77GHz | GTX 1060 6GB | 16GB 1600MHz DDR3 | 1TB HDD+500GB HDD | Win10 Home X64 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Mowgli Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 Here is the proof for the Flankers capabilities : if an Israeli Eagle landed without one wing the Flanker can do it with none:lol: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Intel i5 4690K | ASUS Z-97PRO Gaming Mobo | Nvidia Gigabyte GTX970 3.5/0.5 GB Windforce3 | G.Skill Ripjaws-X 2x8GB DDR3 1600Mhz | Samsung Evo 120GB SSD | Win10 Pro | Antec 750w 80 Bronze Modular

combatace Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 This never happened in SFM. So i gues PFM has to go long long long long way to feel anything near like real flanker. So i gues PFM has to go long long long long way to feel anything near like real flanker. its the ai, it doesn't follow the rules of mortal men, when this happens in the PFM you'll just be in a flatspin. A 1000 flights, a 1000 crashes, perfect record. =&arrFilter_pf[gameversion]=&arrFilter_pf[filelang]=&arrFilter_pf[aircraft]=&arrFilter_DATE_CREATE_1_DAYS_TO_BACK=&sort_by_order=TIMESTAMP_X_DESC"] Check out my random mods and things
unknown Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 This never happened in SFM. So i gues PFM has to go long long long long way to feel anything near like real flanker. I thought it was mentioned on the forum that an afm/pfm aircraft only has its afm/pfm if it is controlled by a human player. As soon as its controlled by ai it has only a sfm because the actual ai couldn't handle the afm/pfm. Is this still correct? ShuRugal Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 I thought it was mentioned on the forum that an afm/pfm aircraft only has its afm/pfm if it is controlled by a human player. As soon as its controlled by ai it has only a sfm because the actual ai couldn't handle the afm/pfm. Is this still correct? Mostly. The reason for giving AI SFM is not that it can't handle PFM, but that computing PFM on every single aircraft would tank performance.

Exorcet Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 This never happened in SFM. So i gues PFM has to go long long long long way to feel anything near like real flanker. AI uses special flight model. Also this isn't necessarily unrealistic, though roll control and excessive landing AoA/speed would be issues. Weta43 Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Principally what's unrealistic is that anyone would attempt it... Not that the aircraft might remain airborne . Cheers.
Svend_Dellepude Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Considering that all control surfaces except for rudders are gone i would say it's very optimistic thinking this aircraft should remain airborne.
