Cowboy10uk Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 (edited) Ok finally gotten around to trying this. a slight issue, I don't seem to be getting any output from DCS open Beta. Currently flying the Mig 21 and not feeling a thing. Simshacker for DCS is open, so is the sound module. Speakers (realtek High Definintion Audio ) Selected and when I play test sound, I do get an output through my Buttkicker, so it obviously sees it and the module has been activated with full set of effects loaded. SimShaker.Lua is in C:/Users/Myname/Saved Games/DCS.openbeta/Scripts Anyone got any idea where I'm going wrong? LUA file is below. Thanks, it was the A-10C that I tried the second time when it was crashing on me again, didn't think to try another module. Kuky Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Hi Andrey I tried the new version of the SimShaker and on my end it doesn't play nicely either The SimShaker.lua is automatically updated, but in Public DCS I get ground bumps only and don't get any other effects (Visualisation bar only shows activity for ground bumps, nothing else) In Trunk though as soon as I try rolling on runway and get the first ground shake effect, SimShaker crashes with some Microsoft .NET Framework error (screenshot attached) PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR

Do you have Full Set of Effects Loaded at Sound Module or just Demo Mode? In Trunk though as soon as I try rolling on runway and get the first ground shake effect, SimShaker crashes with some Microsoft .NET Framework error (screenshot attached) SimShaker.lua also should be updated for tester's version. I updated it in Trunk also To all: Guys, when your report me a bug, please name at least an airframe! And I would be grateful for more details like error messages, provided by system or .Net framework, DCS World track, screenshots, etc. The crash was in F-15C module (in Trunk install). Not sure where I can get full error message (I could not increase window size to get all the text. heloguy Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 Hey Andre, I got everything up and running (although I figured out that everytime I want to use Sim Shaker, I have to reinstall the drivers to my SB X-Fi Titanium card due to a bug with Win 10), and my first impression is that this is a great step forward. My only issue after flying both the P-51 and Bf-109 is that the effect for engine revs, and stall buffet could be a little more of a high frequency vibe. It feels a little lifeless when straight and level to me. This could just be me comparing the buttkicker when hooked up to the center/subwoofer channel normally, but the old way seems to feel more lifelike to me compared to when I go flying IRL. Thanks for the efforts, and I'll keep checking back to see how things pan out. i9 12900k @ 4.9ghz, 64gb RAM Nvidia RTX 3090 Windows 11 x64 Pimax Crystal VP Force Rhino w/RS F16GRH, Virpil TCS Rotor Plus AH-64 Collective, BRD F1 Pedals, WH Throttle, FSSB R3 w/WH Grip, PointCTRL v2

Hi Jason, thank you for the feedback and welcome to our discussion here :) My only issue after flying both the P-51 and Bf-109 is that the effect for engine revs, and stall buffet could be a little more of a high frequency vibe. OK, I'll try to have that in mind in further development. It feels a little lifeless when straight and level to me. This could just be me comparing the buttkicker when hooked up to the center/subwoofer channel normally, but the old way seems to feel more lifelike to me compared to when I go flying IRL. I agree. If one uses legacy (native for BK) sound output mode, one has more rich set of effects than I'm able to derive form sim export data. One have a choice now, what does he like more. I wonder what kind of airframe do you fly IRL? Gametrix JetSeats thread (in English) , SimShaker addon for bass-shakers thread (in English), Andre's blog, downloads, manuals (in English). heloguy Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 Hey Andre, Maybe the best would be to have the gametrix seat and a buttkicker, or two buttkickers on different outputs That way you could have the rich engine rumble and your great effects. IRL I don't fly anything as exciting as an old warbird. I fly helos, and have flown in light airplanes (Cessna 172), and an old Chinese Nanching. I definitely feel plenty of vibrations in the helicopters (Transverse flow would be a great effect for SimShaker) and distinctly remember the engine vibrations in the recip airplanes. Maybe an effect based on airspeed is possible? i9 12900k @ 4.9ghz, 64gb RAM Nvidia RTX 3090 Windows 11 x64 Pimax Crystal VP Force Rhino w/RS F16GRH, Virpil TCS Rotor Plus AH-64 Collective, BRD F1 Pedals, WH Throttle, FSSB R3 w/WH Grip, PointCTRL v2
