Well, I started with 2 Aurasound 50watt transducers, and the past few days I have added 4 smaller Dayton 20watt transducers. I wanted to test them with the current amp before I bought another amp. And now I definitely need another amp.

I do have one suggestion for the Effects Settings tab. It would be nice if there was a Play/Stop button beside each effect for when you are setting up a system like this. I have been testing the effects in the 'Test Sound' window by selecting them from the list. This is a bit hard to keep track of which effects need tweaking. Most of them feel fine. Others are hardly felt at all. And a few make the Dayton transducers buzz. Of course once I get the extra amp I can use all of the transducers at the same time.

Does anyone have any suggestions or software that lets us create an effect file? Has anyone customized any new ones to share?

Thanks,

Snacko

Hey guys, I have a question for those who have used the Jetseat.

I have a 6DOF motion sim (See this link for a quick demo:

) and I own a Buttkicker mini and two Aura ST bass shakers but they are not installed yet.

Has anyone used SimShaker with both bass shakers and JetSeat simultaneously? Was it worth the extra money? For that matter, is it possible to run this setup? JetSeat sounds great but I'd miss the shaking on the pedals, throttle, and stick I think if I used the JetSeat only. The other way around I feel like maybe the Jetseat is redundant if I have a good shaker setup running on SimShaker.

I'm curious about that, too, actually. I am holding off on further purchases until I get the seat, but was considering buttkickers. I also am toying with the idea of moving my surround sound base directly under my seat and disconnecting the other speakers :p

I'm using a transducer (eg buttkicker) and the Jetseat in parallel. SimShaker can control both simultaneously. The JetSeat is great for high frequent effects and left/right thing. Whereas the buttkicker is good for really strong effects ;).

I also wrote a tutorial how to setup a parallel Windows sound and SimShaker mode. Thus the butkicker is playing game sound effects and SimShaker effects...

Excellent, I'll go for both then! I've got one Buttkicker Mini and two Aura ST's and an amp so I'll get those hooked up and order the JetSeat as soon as I have the money in the next couple days.

Thanks for the reply @f4l0

I've got another one for you guys! Is it possible, perhaps with a 3rd sound card and 2nd instance of the SimShaker software, to have just the stall shake sent to a separate shaker that is on the joystick?

It's either this or I have to start building a modded MS FFB2!

Tested the sound module today (JetSeat still en route to me) with my motion sim in the P-51C, it was fantastic to gain the rumble on the ground and landing gear extend/retract/lock! Other effects nice too but those are what I appreciate most. Engine beat is very good to have too.

Didn't notice any feedback from guns firing though, but maybe it's too subtle to notice with other effects and my motion sim moving.

Will post on the SimShaker for Aviators thread once I test the Jetseat as well. I'm nearing the complete solution now!

Check to be sure Unlimited Ammo is off

Oh I had read that but forgot, I bet ammo is unlimited on the air to air tutorial where I tested! Good call Andre, thanks! I'll try that tomorrow for sure.

I just watched your videos. Very impressive, sir :) You definitely fall into the "engineer/inventor" category :)

Happy Sound Mode Expansion user here!

Andrey, I can't feel any effect when air brake is deployed on F-86. Everything else is fine. Already put the slider on max with no effect. Is this correct?

And now a request::P

-Can we have an engine (without afterburner) vibration. With simvibe, a similar program for simracing, we have engine vibration and that adds a lot of emersion when we start our engines.

If this vibration was related to RPMs would be perfect.:pilotfly:

Thanks and congrats for this amazing program.

Thank you for the kind words, but without the help of Thanos/TronicGR, paulg100, and others on Thanos forums I never could have done it!

I had to fly some the other night with SimShaker turned off but motion on and missed it very badly! This program is fantastic.

That's in our plans.

Andrey, I'm out of town right now and can't test to see if it is already there but if it is not; can we get vibration feedback for operation of the radiator and oil cooler doors operation?

I am reading the rest of the P-51 manual right now and when I got to this part of pre-flight I thought "this needs SimShaker feedback!".

The vibration feedback is great, especially the landing gear deploy and retract! With my Aura-ST you can actually hear the metallic noises as well as feel the vibration and I suspect that makes it even better than buttkicker!

Dying for my JetSeat to arrive. =)

I just got the amp and transducers in today, wired them up, and attached them to my chair. I am using the SimShaker Beta with Sound in free demo mode.

I have tested the A-10C and P-51D's quickstart takeoff missions. In both the taxi bumps are very fast as soon as I start rolling and do not change speed as I do. The bumps don't match up with my speed, they are too fast.

I was prepared to buy two more transducers and the key for the sound module today if I can get everything working correctly. I really enjoy the stall effects and look forward to seeing the others, but the landing bumps are an immersion breaker.

I read through all the pages here a few days ago and thought I saw someone with the same problem but can't find it. I think I remember a reboot fixing it for him. It didn't for me.

I was using the released version today and thought the runway bumps were fast also. I noticed it because as soon as I started rolling they were fast. I have not flown much lately so I just forgot about it. But now that you mentioned it.. I didn't reboot or try to fix it. So I wasn't sure about it..

This in more related to the SimShaker for Aviator software but I'll give an answer:

I added a new Ground Roll effect. This is the rumble between the bumps. I personally like that the vibrations kicks in early. Maybe you need to play around with the values.

Posted

Yea, I get confused on which thread is which. You should ask a mod to close this one?

I tested the new release today and the Ground Bumps and Rolling works pretty good. I did have to turn the Ground Bumps up to 100% in SSA and the Roll down to 40. And also turn my shaker volume up a bit. So, I might have to modify the Ground Bumps with more gain so they don't get totally covered by the rolling. Each setup is different, so that is fine. I like having them separated. And the Engine Rumble seems to be working great. Cheers!! Great work.

Transducers and amp

Can anyone suggest a good transducer / amp combo? I'm looking for something small and compact. The buttkicker sim kit looks good but pretty expensive and when I called they said it will be several months before it's back in stock looking for something with similar capability.

Thanks!

Enjoying my Jetseat but would like to add a stereo pair of transducers as well to add a little bit more rumble,!

I uploaded pics of my setup to my pc yesterday that have probably what you want. I'll make a post soon. It uses one small amp for four small transducers. And another small amp for two large transducers.
