Who me? - I don't care - sounds like a good idea that could make for interesting dogfights - & I know you've been looking forward to it for a while. To me - if everone's agreed beforehand - I figure you could lope S-300's onto your plane & it wouldn't be cheating.

It's only "cheating" if you intentionally LOPE a payload that you know (or could reasonably be expected to know) is not allowed on a server.

Cheers.

:-) I've edited my post to

"So all those people flying Su-27 in 1.01 & using EA's are cheating?"

The point is this "Correction: payload not reflecting RL is cheating" is not always true. (see iguanaking's ongoing complaint about the rockets loaded to the A-10 ingame)

I was only talking about the 504th server in this thread. The 504th server runs with 1.12a and I doubt anyone with 1.01 can connect to it.

As for the A-10 rocket pods, as soon as ED include the proper rocket pods into Lock-on they will be included onto the A-10 weapons allowed in the 504th server.

talking only about the 504th server...

Taking into account that ED is trying to reflect RL situation as best as they can with the latest version which is 1.12a.

BTW, if I can find RL proof of R-77’s loaded on the Su-27 can I load them on the 504th server?

I guess that a print screen (not Photoshop edited) is proof!

Yes they are but they still have a bit to go, with some weapons not available on specific hardpoints (r.e. the R-77 on the MiG-29S outer pylons) and some weapons not being modeled at all.

No. The Su-27S which is modelled in lock-on CANNOT carry the R-77. It is only the Su-27 SMK phase 1 and younger models that can carry the R-77.

A list of weapons that can be used in the 504th server has been posted on the 504th forums. These (or default 1.12a) weapons can be used. People failing to comply to this and continuing to use weapons not allowed will be getting a warning/banned.

Do you realize that the Su-27S went through an upgrade program (kind of one like F-16A MLU getting AIM-9X)?

Not that I am trying to cheat (I would never do that) but this thread is showing that you guy’s are NOT sure of one's ground.

Anyway the loadout list is a solution but is complicated (people will turn up with mods).

IIRC, the only upgrade for service aircraft is the current one, from Su27S to Su27SM standard. Su27SM is not the version modelled in Lomac . . . . . Su27S is, which was the original version to enter service.

RL upgrades aside the Su-27 variant modeled in lock-on is the Su-27S. When/if ED change this to model the Su-27SM and include the improved N001V phased array radar with R-77 support we will do likewise but ATM it is still only the Su-27S.

We are very sure of what is allowed and not allowed in our own server.

Weapons load for the 504th server is listed, there is now no excuse for ignorance, if anyone turns up with other mods, they will be banned. End of story

Our famous Su-27S serial number 04 does not exist anymore in RL and it became the Su-27SM S/N 04 with 1 R-77 loaded on the inner pylons (see picture).

I know that ED modelled the Su-27S but my point is RL is not Su-27S anymore!

I have problems with the RL word that is all.

What if people fly with number 04? Ok, just joking! :)

Uh, the Su-27S is still the Su-27S. Only a very, very few have gotten the SM upgrade. Get over it ;)

He he he: you can’t forbid me to fly with number 04 (Anyway with standard 1.12a loadout) :megalol:

Doesn't much matter which number you use ;)

TucksonSonny,

An Su-27S upgraded to Su-27SM standard means that it has become entirely different aircraft.

What you suggest would be like saying that the MiG-29A should be allowed to carry the R-77 in Lock-on because there are a couple of MiG-29SMTs with this capability in real life ;) .

Cheers,
