Ok, first off I've flown the P-51D A LOT, from cold start, so I'm not a nub. I can start it fine from the training sessions and used to be able to start it from the mission editor. Now that is not the case. ONLY from the mission editor does it not start. Either manually or from the auto start sequence. Engine spins but never catches.

Ver 1.2.16.43180

I have Fuel both in the mission editor and I have double checked when in the cockpit.

All of the correct switches and magnetos and fuel supply, etc. As I said before I know how to start the bird and have done so many times. It's just now it won't start from a mission built in the mission editor.

Any Ideas?

One thing I can think of is weather, is weather too cold in mission you create? We did once tried a mission -20 something celsius with some friends, and well starting the engine was an adventure :).

Regarding auto start sequence, as far as I've seen, it never really worked and engine wouldn't catch, it would spin a bit and stop, I don't know if this is fixed in new versions but when I was flying Mustang a lot it wasn't working.

I help to start engine by using primer during starting sequence.

I switch primer 3-4 seconds after starter and it works for me.

Release both when engine is running after mixture is switched to run possition from cut-off.

I tried Autostart in the Instant Action Cold Start mission and the engine started without problem. You may want to try that and follow the Autostart commands as they appear in the top left of the screen. It appears that Autostart uses the Oil Dilute for a few seconds and Primes the engine as it applies the Start switch.
