MiG-21BIS at Karelian Aviation Museum

I'm lucky that my hometown Lappeenranta have this small museum, it have few Migs including this lovely MiG-21BIS.

Thats very true, there's also MiG-21F and UM versions, F in very bad shape :(

I never thought that I would be looking at MiG-21 cockpit photos and actually know what most of the switches and gauges do...that cockpit has become a surprisingly familiar place!

Absolutely agreed. I found the inclusion of the odd few western instruments to be most foreign.. :lol:
