Kelevra9987 Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 As we all know, every DCS Module has a Total of 10 activations per Key. Now because of many fresh Windows installs without Deactivating the Modules first I am running low on Activations left. So when I used all my Activations, do I need to purchase that Module again or is ED kind enough to reset my Activations / sending me a new Key? cichlidfan Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 yes they will send you one more key or you can wait 30 days and you will have one more also AFAIK, that first part is incorrect. The activation that you get after 30 days (from the day the last activation is used), is so that they don't have a need or a reason to send a new key. boedha68 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Activation can be used after 30 days you spend the last. When you spend the activation after 30 days you must wait another 30 days for the next. AtaliaA1 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 I hope this helps those who believe it necessary to "Reinstall" everything when updating a PC. It is hardly worth it not to just "Simply" upgrade. Instead of going through the unnecessary hassle of Deactivating and reactivating. I have had no problem with my system using the windows upgrade as apposed to doing a complete wipe of my HDD. This is a left over from the days when PC techs. those below average would run in to a problem and believe it necessary to "Wipe" their HDD, instead of figuring out what caused their issue. So that when they reinstall the program that caused the problem in the first place is reinstalled they were back to square one. Migration software has more than kept up with the needs of users. Adding more functionality and honing the migration software to perfection. I am speaking of the top tear manufactures of migration software. Making it very unneeded to "Wipe" a drive just to install a new OS. This was a Boutique Builder iBuypower rig. sobek Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 but he can also request an aditional activation through the ticketing system Not that i know of. If that ever happened, it was out of goodwill, there is no obligation on part of ED to do so. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
