chromium
Chromium, Does this include the save feature requested by Pikey above? Thanks, I have been patiently waiting for this update. No, it's only a 1.5.5 update. I'm working since few months to a bigger update that should include that feature. Anyway, I found in the past code that the zipfile wasn't closed after saving the mission and I fixed this, So you my retry now and see what happen.. sadly I can't know. An airplane by it's nature wants to fly, and if not interfered with too strongly by unusual events or by a deliberately incompetent pilot, it will fly. A helicopter does not want to fly. It is maintained in the air by a variety of forces in opposition to each other, and if there is any disturbance in this delicate balance the helicopter stops flying; immediately and disastrously. Pikey
The savegame thing is quite hard to work around. I have made an application that handles the saving, cleans things up, saves the latest autosave as the 1st mission to autoload etc, but theres SO Much going on and so many different moving parts that its unlikely I'll really chase it much right now until DCS gets a little bit more mature on server side. ___________________________________________________________________________ SIMPLE SCENERY SAVING * SIMPLE GROUP SAVING * SIMPLE STATIC SAVING *
hreich
Sorry that i didn't sip through all the posts (because i don't have time with two kids) , but does this utility remember my own aircraft position when saving, so later i can continue flight from my last position? First post, second line: "Save Mission won't "freeze" the situation allowing you to resume the ongoing mission, but it will create a new mission file with ground groups having updated their units composition, position and situation. " :megalol: Don't worry, if you didn't notice it's due to the wrong name I used for the mod. In the future, in fact, it will have a different name that will force people to read at least the first line to understand what it does (DAWS Package) Author of DSMC, mod to enable scenario persistency and save updated miz file Stable version & site: https://dsmcfordcs.wordpress.com/ Openbeta: https://github.com/Chromium18/DSMC The thing is, helicopters are different from planes. eric963
Is Map Object Persitence working (destroyed buildings, bridges etc..)? Thanks Eric
chromium
In the very same way as before, yes. But beware using this in complex scenarios, cause explosions to destroy buildings will be performed together at mission start... it can cause performance drop. eric963
I was asking because I have it enabled and the csv file is being created but it is empty. Is there anything elase that I have to do? Small correction. Buildings do get recorded and blown up properly but if I fly a test mission and destroy a bridge it does not. Thanks Eric Edited November 13, 2016 by eric963
