Cavemanhead Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Wondering what kind of settings/framerates to expect with the subject hardware, and 16GB of RAM driving, and SSD, driving a 1920 x 1080 monitor...??? I typically like things no less than 50 FPS. Will I be there on 1.5?
joey45 Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 I have a 4820K unclocked and a 770 4gig, RAM is about 10 (having a few probs) SSD and 1920x1080 and locked my FPS at 60 in the config and no less then 50 but it does dip in the 40/30s at a few placed. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. Bidartarra Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 I have an i5 4670k and a 770 with 2Gb, 8Gb of ram, fps are around 50 to 60 in most area but can go down to 30ish . I play mostly MP. But in single player its really fuid, better than before.
SharpeXB Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 (edited) Go for the 4790K rather than the 4770K http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i7-4790K-vs-Intel-Core-i7-4770K It's cheaper and it's the top single core performing CPU https://www.cpubenchmark.net/singleThread.html With a boost of 4.4GHz it hardly needs overclocking. Jacks Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Same as above, generally 60 but dips to 40 and at 40 view panning can be jerky. Looking to upgrade soon to a 970 or 980. I typically like things no less than 50 FPS. Will I be there on 1.5? I do have the configuration you have presented... actually a SLI config based on GTX770. (full description in signature) It is working great for me, on 4K resolution and full details is not going under 20FPS and is having a sustained 35-40FPS (no antialising used becasue is not needed). I also observer the 4G of video RAM is fully used. GPU usage is also at its maximum. On 1440p with some antialising and full details it goes up to 70FPS. One single 770GTX can sustain 1080p at 60+ FPS in DCS1.5 quite ok. Romanian Community for DCS World HW Specs: AMD 7900X, 64GB RAM, RTX 4090, HOTAS Virpil, MFG, CLS-E, custom
