Pineapple Pete Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 Hi All, While sounds are still normal in the cockpit, I am no longer hearing any stage of my afterburners igniting. I am getting afterburners (by an F2 view) and accelerations seems normal. Also, with full ab, nozzle position is approx 100% and engine power is 96%. Before the update to 1.5 a few days ago I could hear all three stages of ab ignition. Has anyone else noticed this? Thanks It is always best to not fly too fast or fly too slow. So I fly half fast. :D
pr1malr8ge Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 I do believe Full AB should be 100% nozzle and rpm should also be at 96% there is a vmax switch in the bird that allows higher rpms but its not modeled in game. For the WIN [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]If your desired effect on the target is making the pilot defecate his pants laughing then you can definitely achieve it with a launch like that.
Pineapple Pete Posted October 26, 2015 Author Posted October 26, 2015 Hi pr1malr8ge, Well good to know that is normal. Thanks for that info. But, it doesn't explain why the audible indication of afterburners igniting is no longer there after hot fix 3. Any thought on that? It was definitely there before. Now, no more. Many thanks. It is always best to not fly too fast or fly too slow. So I fly half fast. :D
feefifofum Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 No idea...I am still hearing an audible "thump" as the different stages of AB ignite. Perhaps it has something to do with your adjusted audio level settings? I know we had our grubby little fingers in there stirring things around a few days ago trying to get your TS3 set up ;) THE GEORGIAN WAR - OFFICIAL F-15C DLC
Exorcet Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Tried repair? I've noticed that I can only hear the stages when I have a speaker plugged in, my laptop's built in speakers don't work very well for the AB stages. Could some audio settings for your PC have changed recently? strikeeagle Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 In the real jet, you can't hear the different burner stages inside or outside. JS... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Chris
Ultra Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 I am able to hear different stages in the latest 1.5 patch. I think it's on your end.

I will continue to fiddle with my settings. I am convinced the problem is self induced. Thanks. It is always best to not fly too fast or fly too slow. So I fly half fast. :D
Pineapple Pete Posted October 31, 2015 Author Posted October 31, 2015 Thanks to all for your help. Still no audible thump although it was certainly there when I first installed 1.5. Regards It is always best to not fly too fast or fly too slow. So I fly half fast. :D
Not_G Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 N2 rpm shouldn't be 96%, anything over 94% is considered an engine overspeed... so that might need fixed
mvsgas Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 N2 rpm shouldn't be 96%, anything over 94% is considered an engine overspeed... so that might need fixed Depends on the engine modeled. For example, PW-220, on the ground max RPM is 94%( + or - 1) , but 96% (+ or - 1) in flight. PW-229 would be 97% steady, 98% transient (both + or - 1) on the ground or in flight. To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Thank you for you patience. Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..
Not_G Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 @mvsgas you are totally right, been a while since I browsed the -1 and I never noticed that the engine had a different rpm max for inflight. Been used to having the ground limits ingrained in my head. 1

Focha Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 (edited) Hello guys, The sounds you hear in a F-15: [ame= ] [/ame] Know muffle that with a helmet and you get the result. [ame= ] [/ame] [ame= ] [/ame] [ame= ] [/ame] The same goes for A-10: [ame=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZON5gqGHsA]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZON5gqGHsA[/ame] [ame=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZBfRxnyoH8]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZBfRxnyoH8[/ame] So the sounds if truly realistic they would be boring... A lot of noise, mainly wind and if you seat next to the compressor a lot of whining. Cheers.
