I'll probably regret joining the discussion, but hell, this needs to be addressed. (Well trolled, OP).

Where I have FC3 and a10c for DCS, its already boring after 80 hours of playtime, [...]

Hold on. You're bored after less than 80 hours in the A-10C? After 80 hours I didn't even know half the systems.

I guess somewhere around the 200 hours mark I started to feel somewhat confident in the jet, though I still have lots to learn.

Cooperative MP is totally a blast and pretty much the best experience I ever had in DCS.

Of course if you expect to hop onto a server like in BF, get a couple quick kills, boost your stats, and have a fun time, chances are your expectations will ruin your day.

But one question really bothers me, that was already addressed. If you think DCS is lame and has no future, what exactly is the merit of posting all that in the first place? Surely you won't convince anyone around here to let go of a hobby. ED is rather unlikely to change their pricing policies because of an isolated forum post. And hardly anyone outside the combat flight sim community will come across that post anyway. So what's your point, besides making weird accusations and binding a lot of people's time?

Blah, blah, blah...

Arma 3 is That a Way -->

I think that's more what your looking for.

I'd say that the complexity of operating a realistically modelled airplane doesn't intrigue most people.

Most Battlefield players are put off by the 700 page instruction manuals. :music_whistling:

We don't have any other choice at the moment and probably will never have. Basically, if ED goes out of business, combat flight simmers are screwed for good.

EliteKatze, this game alone have almost 20 years of history. How good or bad it was, how it evolves, most of people in this community are already aware of... but they managed to become aware about this game roadmap in years of practice, reading, sharing their opinion.

Being aware about above statements I am pretty much sure that your 2 or maybe few more month being around did not managed to be enough to accumulate the correct info. Stay around us, read more, follow up new threads, ask pertinent question and you will be amazed.

Perfomances improve in 1.5 you say are not visible? This single idea cannot be more wrong than that... read more and you'll find out.

DCS is indeed lacking a lot of "game" content and a stable but that's it. DCS is indeed a bad and boring and even repetetive "game", even FSX has more "game content". But as a modern Combat Flight Simulation DCS is without alternative.

Thought I'd say loud and clear that, you will never run out of activations. If you used your last one, you will automaticly get a new one after 30 days. If something really funky happened you can always try to shoot an email to support. you will not EVER be locked out permanently out of the product you bought.

Your reasoning that the F/A-18 would make the A10 obselete because it can take off from a carrier and can act as a fighter is quite weird to me. Don't forget we're not playing one of those commercial matchmaker multiplayer battle 'simulation' flying games, where the top of the line plane is worth having and the rest is not. Besides, each plane has its own pro's and cons. According to this logic, I could say that the A10 is more likely to survive a anti-air artillery barrage hit, or a SAM strike than an F/A-18, therefor the A10 is more suited to dangerous missions and infinitly better than an F/A-18.

Have a nice day.

how do I receive the new one exactly? Does it add anotherone to my steam DCS WORLD DLCs?

yea, but literally, no one of my friends and my ''gaming m8s'' play this game. I find it kinda rrogant if you say a game is a simulator just cuz 50% of the planes have a decently realistic flight model. Anything else besides the planes has bad textures, the map looks like its copied of of Google Earth

The A-10C module was good enough for the US National Guard, so I'd call it a simulator. The terrain modeling is very very good compared to all other aircraft simulators. Do you have good computer specs and are running graphics on High?

Thirty days after you use the last activation, another activation will be added to your key (Steam or other).

Hey guys, so in some months DCS World 2 should be released, which hopefully brings better performance (more than 2 threads/cores support)...

This has also been covered repeatedly.

That's largely due to flight sims not having mass appeal in general. Of all my friends that are 'gamers' one of them likes flight sims and has a preference for civilian flight. DCS isn't a gamers game, and neither has any flight sim been before it. The combat flight sim is a niche with-in a niche, that safely assumes a large portion of its target demographic are people that would like to be doing these things in real life. Certainly at a much higher percentage than FPS players want to be actual soldiers. The Arma series isn't wildly popular either, and is pretty much the only thing that exists that you could form a worthwhile comparison of.

I haven't got a single of my gamer buds into DCS yet..:(

Even bought one of them some modules when DCS was on sale!

I know it isn't everyone's cup of tea but I know at least one of them would like it if more people gave it a chance.
