Hey nice ! I've Been waiting for the other gazelles for a while, but i'm not sure the Mistral is the best, for what choppers are supposed to do on the server i think it's the one that makes the least sense, people are probably going to abuse it and not do what we need most of the time, transport. Only Time will tell us what impact this addition has but i'm sceptical about it being a good one.

And the Viggen is registered as a Fighter ? It's definetly a Striker with auto-defense capabilities, not the other way around. EDIT: seems like that was fixed on the fly or it just bugged for Dugo ;)

Anyways still is Nice to have an update.

 

EDIT: There is no Limitations on aircrafts type anymore ? There is at this moment 5 fighters un Red, the limit should be 4.

Agree, the Gazelle L (gunship) might be a better alternative.

Today, I used the Mistral for picking up crashed pilots. An enemy fighter - seeing the smoke signal - attacked and with the Mistral I could fight back. Players who rescue others should be able to defend themselfs in an effective way.

 

Like all other helos the Mistral should be able to transport items, too.

I may or may not have tried resetting the lifes....

 

Edit: Changed the wrong file, reset the campaign. Nothing I can do to get it back now.

your tweaks did not help against server crashing during mission restarting ...

I did not tweak anything regarding server crashes. And the weapon restriction worked when I tested it. I'll have a look at it later again...

Yep all weapons are still available, only the Kh 58s, the CBU 105 should be removed tought, cluster weapons don't seem to crash the server or to make it lag nor do nukes, we have tested them extensivly :p.

There are some strange issues going on with the latest release version.

I triple checked the weapon restriction in the ME, still people can equip restricted weapons in-game. Air-air munitions are not affected apparently.

 

In retro perspective, the first reset was not caused by me at all. The file I changed was a relic and wasn't used anymore. So it couldn't have been me that caused the reset.

 

 

Please tell me more about the resets, ZHeN. When do they happen, do you know?

I won't tell you much, man

just opened the webpage this afternoon and saw the campaign reset again for some reason. I wasn't on the server when that happened

I'm not 100% sure but the bug where units on objectives get destroyed at restart might be caused by the use of cluster ammunitions.

 

It happened two months ago when a Mirage threw Mk-20s and it happened yesterday when we used CBU-105s.

 

EDIT : Tested and no it seems to be random.

After I´ve been away for a while I did one or two flights again a few days ago and noticed some changes.

 

Can someone tell me what "Reorder ground crew at current FARP" does ?

And what exactly comes with a ground crew convoy ?

So, a little update, the server is unstable, mass crashes are very frequent, multiple clients crash at the same time. The Desyncs are real, sometimes you either can't rearm, spawn crates or pick them up and in the worse case all three at the time.

 

There aren't many updates at the moment, wich is fine, but the lags are just too present and make it very frustrating. I will be leaving the KO for a while hoping that the lags are fixed... The gameplay is great, but if we can't play :/.....

Can someone tell me what "Reorder ground crew at current FARP" does ?

That command orders the ground crew to move closer to the FARP, as there were some issues with rearming and refueling when the ground crew was too far away.

Hey guys,

 

Good news, deadbeef might just have nailed down the problem to a table clogging up. This is most likely the cause for the lags and server crashes. A fix is in place, let's see how it turns out.

The weapon restriction has finally been resolved as well, again all credits to deadbeef for this one.
