BlackLion213 Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 Here are a few VF-14 pictures from the mid to late 1980s, courtesy of Bill Paisley's facebook page. He is a former VF-14 RIO and used to have a blog, a classic counterpoint the Neptunus Lex (both were fun to read and very informative). These images are otherwise unpublished and from the heart of the DCS F-14A's timeframe. Can't have too many Tomcat pictures. :D Best, Nick
pYlot Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 My favorite NAVY squadron! THE OLDEST AND BOLDEST! Thank you for sharing these pictures! :)

BlackLion213 Posted November 22, 2015 Author Posted November 22, 2015 (edited) Thanks guys, I'll keep my eyes open for more. ;) More photo in hi-res http://www.navy.mil/gallery_search_results.asp?terms=F-14+Tomcat&page=1&r=4 Thank you for the link. :) There used to be another official Navy image archive that went back into the early 1980s, don't know what happened to it. Used to be called "DVIC" I think. -Nick Edited November 22, 2015 by BlackLion213

BlackLion213 Posted December 8, 2015 Author Posted December 8, 2015 Guys, why vf-84 squadron of f-14s most popular? I suspect that a machine built for war and sporting a Skull & Crossbones looks right to a lot of people. ;) -Nick
Grundar Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 I suspect that a machine built for war and sporting a Skull & Crossbones looks right to a lot of people. ;) -Nick Indeed it looked cool to me back when I was a kid, not to mention that in Robotech/Macross - Roy Fokkers Valkyrie had the VF-84 motif - it was just badass (for lack of a better word lol).
BlackLion213 Posted February 27, 2016 Author Posted February 27, 2016 A few new Bill Paisley pics :): This one might be Dave Parsons...but same theme. :) More from him soon! I have more from another photographer that are outstanding - lots of great stuff. But first...need to charge my laptop. :D -Nick
