@williehayesjr, I have the oddysey plus and don't have any of the issues you mentioned, it just works great. I however did have to research some of the probs, but they are all fixable and I am very happy with it. One big thing was to put a bit of electrical tape over the sensor between the lenses. Hope you solve your problems because I sure can't go back to flat screens after having vr.

Have been very happy with my rift for the last couple of years but just went to an odyssey+ and am very happy with it as well [had to do a lot of fiddling with it to make it enjoyable]. After dk2 and cv1 I think I am done with a facebook product unless they really change their attitude towards future developement.

I have a little bit different rig, 4790k, but went from 2 780ti's to an asus posiedon 1080ti, 32gb ram, and closed loop water cooling. Stable 4.6 ghz on the processor and the 1080ti is always above 2ghz. Triple 1080p ips monitors or cv1 rift it performs very well with the last few updates. 60 frames capped with almost maxed settings on the monitors, so you might want to upgrade your gpu first. You might be surprised by the difference![or not].

You can use a new gpu in your next rig but you will be stuck with the ram as it will be ddr3 and not compatible with the new ddr4 ram used in current builds.
