Could somebody give me a walk through on how to change the frame rate on DCS 2.0

I think there is a new way to the old way of doing it? i'm just not that good at this stuff, however with guidance i'm sure ill be fine.

Thank you!

Someone answered me in another post... heres how.

go to your saved games folder

C:\Users\"YOURNAME"\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\config

and CREATE a file called "autoexec.cfg" with notepad++ ( download for free on the net ) or wordpad, do NOT use Editor as it handles CLF differently ( end of line stuff ).

In that new file type this in the first line and hit enter at end-of-line:

options.graphics.maxfps = 143;

for example if you want 143fps max, any other value that FITS your monitor specs' dynamic range and refresh rate.

If your monitor is 60 hz that's all the frame rate you'll get regardless though, isn't it?

...Guy

Yes, However if you have it at 60, and have it set to 120+ play for afew hours, then lock it to 60. You will notice the game feels...slower. Fps wise the game doesnt go faster,however the game will play faster.
