Jackdaws Posted November 24, 2015 Author Posted November 24, 2015 Someone answered me in another post... heres how. go to your saved games folder C:\Users\"YOURNAME"\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\config and CREATE a file called "autoexec.cfg" with notepad++ ( download for free on the net ) or wordpad, do NOT use Editor as it handles CLF differently ( end of line stuff ). In that new file type this in the first line and hit enter at end-of-line: options.graphics.maxfps = 143; for example if you want 143fps max, any other value that FITS your monitor specs' dynamic range and refresh rate. Morpheus Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Note: if you use VSync option, your frame rate will be the one of your monitor (ex: 60Hz = 60 fps) :smilewink:
Luftwoller Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 If your monitor is 60 hz that's all the frame rate you'll get regardless though, isn't it? ...Guy Helicopters!! Never trust anything that screws itself into the air!
flanker0ne Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 I prefer the old manner, lifting the graphic's settings. Maybe you already have all the setting maxed out, this means that for this christmas dont ask to Santa Claus the 3rd VGA for a Triple SLI. Bucic Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 I've got mine capped by MSI Afterburner for now. Works flawlessly. And doesn't interfere with the [LAlt + ENTER] trick (force full screen). Soulres Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 If your monitor is 60 hz that's all the frame rate you'll get regardless though, isn't it? ...Guy Yes, However if you have it at 60, and have it set to 120+ play for afew hours, then lock it to 60. You will notice the game feels...slower. Fps wise the game doesnt go faster, however the game will play faster.
