Angelthunder Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 I recently went on youtube to watch some old Battlefield 1942 gameplay.I noticed that the soldiers you play in the game could be used as influence in DCS with player controlled infantry. There's already movable soldiers in DCS,& with skeletal animation coming in 2.0.I would like to see ground troops battle it out along with tanks/helos and other drivable vehicles that they could jump in and out of.What do you guys think.:smilewink:
TordinVarglund Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 I think you're the first person ever to have this idea.
chromium Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 I think you're the first person ever to have this idea. :megalol::megalol::megalol: Author of DSMC, mod to enable scenario persistency and save updated miz file Stable version & site: https://dsmcfordcs.wordpress.com/ Openbeta: https://github.com/Chromium18/DSMC The thing is, helicopters are different from planes. An airplane by it's nature wants to fly, and if not interfered with too strongly by unusual events or by a deliberately incompetent pilot, it will fly. A helicopter does not want to fly. It is maintained in the air by a variety of forces in opposition to each other, and if there is any disturbance in this delicate balance the helicopter stops flying; immediately and disastrously.
Angelthunder Posted November 26, 2015 Author Posted November 26, 2015 Yeah,i know there's been numerous threads about this.:DBut that's what i would like to see in the future.Heck,a soldier can already carry a Stinger missle system in Combined Arms. Why not guns & artillery too.
pepin1234 Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Anyway was a good try. Go ahead! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

BaconSarnie Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 If I wanted to play Battlefield I'd play Battlefield. And lo, Reverend Vegas did say "Take forth unto the infidel the mighty GAU 8 and expend its holy 30MM so that freedom will be brung upon them who knoweth not the joys of BBBBBBBRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRTTTTTTTTTT" "Amen"
Pikey Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 1.5 brought better animations, we can already take troops around the battlefield and if you want you can try to set them down near a tank too and watch them get annihilated like in real life too. Right now FPS as a dismount wouldn't be that entertaining. Best to stick to Battlefield where you can take on tanks and jump off bridges into airplanes and so on. ___________________________________________________________________________ SIMPLE SCENERY SAVING * SIMPLE GROUP SAVING * SIMPLE STATIC SAVING *
