Pindol Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 How to choose the operating system to play the DCS Windows 7 64 bit or select 64-bit Windows 8 would like to know who is better windows and powerful to play in the DCS!:joystick:
dburne Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Both are good, I would not see a wrong choice with either. Obviously Windows 8.1 is newer, and from my experience is probably a little leaner and meaner. Now Windows 8 likes to use the tiles, which I do not care for - but with 8.1 it gave having the familiar desktop as an option, and while it does not have all the same options say the desktop in 7 does, it can easily be customized to at least get it back to more familiar ground. Once I adjusted and got used to that, I really like 8.1 64 bit and do not regret moving to it at all. Brisse Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Windows 10 beats 8.1 in every way. Why aren't you considering 10?
mig29movt Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 I would also go for Windows 10, personally I strongly recommend not to use Windows 8 Install Win 7 if you own it and then just upgrade it to Windows 10 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Waiting to build a F/A-18C home-pit... ex - Swiss Air Force Pilatus PC-21 Ground Crew SFM? jvanhoog Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Had a terrible time with triple monitors in win 10, went back to win 7 and all is good. I have not heard if this is common or not. The other rig is running win 10 with a single monitor just fine.
Pindol Posted November 29, 2015 Author Posted November 29, 2015 Er det noen forskjell mellom Windows 10 Home eller Professional? Hva ville du velge?

Brisse Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 I was a big believer in Windows 7, and refused to go Windows 8 on my main PC. After becoming an Windows insider and testing early versions of Windows 10 on my laptop I realized that it's time to move on. I just waited a month or two until it was stable enough (which was still two months before it's official release) and then I installed Windows 10 on all my PC's. I don't regret it. As for Home vs. Proffesional, I'm not sure what to answer. It depends on your needs. I have never used Home version and I'm not quite sure what the limitations are.
Necroscope Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Win 10 is so bad that I stuck with Win7 as long as I can. One day DX12 and all that microsoft's commercial crap will force me to move to 10, but this will be really bad day. Всех убью, один останусь!
Pindol Posted November 30, 2015 Author Posted November 30, 2015 (edited) please for opinions on wines 10 Edited November 30, 2015 by Pindol
Brisse Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 That sentence makes no sense. Are you using google translate or something?
