Maybe I've not crashed hard enough or dropped enough ordnance, but it seems that none of the larger buildings in Vegas (maybe the entire map?) have any damage modeling. I've seen trees 'collapse' and cars disappear, but that's it. If I'm not missing something, it would be a nice addition.

I've put ordinance into the stratosphere, it modeled some damage temporarily, but it was just some bullet holes, no chunks falling or anything

Probably something to do with copyrights so the buildings can't be destroyed, even when they use different names to avoid copyright suits...

 

Oh and the "terrorism" thing as well..

Good points! I have been looking for In-n-out and found it last night, but the logo is a sideways W, not quite the same logo. I was thinking copyright.

This would be great to see though, some other games are doing this and have this in development already, for example War Thunder which soon may have destructible buildings implemented (we already have some building destruction physics modeled already - its very basic but it still is there).

Damaging of buildings and such is still a WIP for the most part, some show damage, some not at all, some everything passes through...

 

Is that because of some contractual agreement or is it an issue of ED resource management & other priorities?

Its because the map is Alpha ;) When we first got the map in testing, nothing took any damage, its just part of the process. I dont know that the big buildings on the strip will get any damage modelling, the fact is that NTTR is the focus of the map, everything else is a bonus.
