Yeah i have a second pc on my network. I use that to run a local multiplayer and then connect to that. Gives a nice performance boost as per another thread in the forums. Im the only one on it and it is not public

What I'm asking is whether you get the same behaviour when connecting to a remote server via the usual in-game "Multiplayer" option.

Incidentally, DCS never appears, on my system, to use more that 2 of 8 cores (25%) in total. It should be possible to run the server on the remaining cores by judicious assignment of CPU affinities via the "Set Affinity" option in Task Manager.

OK strange one.

Connected to a normal multiplayer game and all is working correctly. I have then connected back to my local server and that is now working correctly ????

Yep. Welcome to my world!

I presently have no idea why your local-server setup is behaving differently to the public-server version of events. What's important is that your setup is the exception, so most multiplayer people will be OK.

I also have no idea why local-server worked after connecting to public-server.

CTD - A10C latest world version

Hi

this may be completley unrelated but....I have just updated to the latest version of DCS World and installed UMFCD, I receive CTD when in missions.

I am running 3 x projectors and 1 x touch screen with Helios on the touch screen with the MFCDs, RWR, CMSP etc exported (PeterP files) via JSGME. I am running a modified standard 3 Screen profile.

All was working very well until last update and trying UMFCD but now when I switch to Hud only view Alt/F1 I have a CTD. This happens on all A10C quick missions and Maverick training mission. It started with UMFCD failing and closing and then the exports appear but cannot be clicked. I then reset all in the settings and opens ok, then push Alt/F1 and DCS CTD. I then start DCS World without UMFCD and DCS CTD on missions with Alt/F1 command. It does this in both v 1.5.6 and 2alpha. Is it likely that UMFCD has changed a setting causing CTD or is it likely a version fault?

I realise this is sparse information to trace a fault but unsure of what else maybe needed to track down the problem.

Many thanks in advance for any help that can be offered!

Kind regards

Neal

Hi

Yes just started UltraMFCD right with PeterP exports active through JSGME. I will disable that and retry with with only view on 3 projectors 3640 x 1024 rather than 3640 x 2104. Any idea on the reason for CTD?

Cheers

You could generate a Diagnostics Package by following the instructions here, along with taking note of any error messages and related entries in the Windows Event Log.

Will be testing this precise scenario tomorrow.

Im assuming this still does not pass multiplayer integrity check, does it?

It passes MP integrity check with the exception of the "Colour LITENING/Shkval CCD" option, so just leave that switched off for servers which enforce the integrity check.
