Hi Sgt

 

I have tried UMFCD again after a clean install and this time around the settings showed to binding conflicts and i ran DCS. UMFCD showed a green tick and said running, but no exports appeared. I stopped my warping software but still no exports were visible. Can you advise please?

resolution problems

 

Hi Baker,

Adjusted screen resolutions to match each other with no realresults. About the only thing differentis there used to be a black border on the right and bottom edges of thedisplays but they seem to be gone now.. I tried to get a screen shot but the imports don’t display at all in thescreen shot. (I moved them to the upper display when I took the shots)… I’lltake a picture with my camera and try to attach it. I don’t know if it will help or not, but asthe saying goes about 1000 words…

Just tried UMFCD for the first time, everything working but unfortunately it caps my in cockpit FPS to 40 from around 145 in the 1.5.6 A-10C instant action mission.

I have tried UMFCD again after a clean install and this time around the settings showed to binding conflicts and i ran DCS. UMFCD showed a green tick and said running, but no exports appeared. I stopped my warping software but still no exports were visible. Can you advise please?

Tried your latest Beta but unfortunately it's exactly the same result (38 - 42 FPS down from 166 FPS in the A10C instant action mission with VSync off).

 

Would doing a "Gather diagnostic package" help you in any way being able to pin point the bottle neck on my system or maybe give me some clues as to where to look ??.

 

I have tried uninstalling the old drivers using DDU Uninstaller, clearing out everything Nvidia on my machine before installing the latest drivers.

 

I have a strange problem on my machine where i have to install GeForce Experience and run the Shadowplay recording utility in order to unlock the full FPS that my machine is able to generate within DCS. If i turn Shadowplay off then my DCS FPS is a constant 65 ?? (VSync off), never been able to get to the bottom of it but just accept it as as i get very good FPS with Shadowplay turned on and it causes me now bother.

Unfortunately the Diagnostics Package function doesn't interrogate low-level DirectX stuff as that in and of itself would kill performance. It can, of course - something active on this end - but completely inappropriate for public release.

 

It does, however, sound like there some utility/mod/malfeasance or the other on your system which is permanently meddling with DirectX rendering. Things too look our for are screen-capture programmes, visual-enhancement stuff (SweetFX etc), DirectX DLLs sitting anywhere in DCS's folder system...

 

Does this happen with all games or just DCS?

It only seems to be happening with DCS, but will look into that again to see if that statment is 100% true, i first noticed that my FPS was capped at 64 in DCS around eleven months ago. I play on a 37" TV screen and export two MFD's onto a small second monitor with Vsync turned on so never noticed that i was being FPS limited to 64. As long as my system can generate above 60 FPS then i get very smooth gaming experience with my setup.

point taken!

 

I started UMFCD and checked settings, all bindings etc were stated as ok. I started DCS world and UMFCD recognised that DCS had started. DCS ran fine on my warped 3 projector setup, the UMFCD was on my 3rd monitor and said running. I started a mission and opened in normal cockpit view. At this point the cockpit MFCD were both blank. There were no UMFCD exports showing on any of my screens. Nothing crashed and both programmes ran without error messages.

 

My hardware specs are detailed in my signature. I was attempting to use UMFCD with Helios by dragging the exports onto my 3rd monitor.

 

The only mod I am running is Helios and Immersive Display Pro warping software. I turned both these off and ran again with the same result - No exports visible.

 

I will forward a diagnostic package later this evening.

I am running Ultra MFD version 2.6.5 and seem to be unable to resize the output window sides individually.

I can resize teh whole window via the widget in the lower right corner, but am unable to expand the sides individually

I am holding down the shift key and hoping I get an arrow to allow me to resize the sides of the window in but it just re-sizes or moves the whole window I am unable to grab individual sides of the output window to resize to my MFD's.

can you look at this and see if I am doing something stupid or if it is not working at all. I really need this to be fixed as I run with the TM MFD's and need to resize the output to fit.

 

This in is the Ka-50 BTW. You only get to see the outputs (skval) once the game has started and that is where you cannot re-size the sides individually just the entire window. Hope this makes some sense.

This in is the Ka-50 BTW. You only get to see the outputs (skval) once the game has started and that is where you cannot re-size the sides individually just the entire window. Hope this makes some sense.

Yup, you're quite right. Seems the shift-hold code was never ported over to the KA-50 displays. Will patch that ASAP.

Hi Baker, It is working FANTASTICLY!! There is no noticable lag in while using the tgp , everything lines up, and even a different small issue is now fully cleared up as well! (the MFD screens would click to a size smaller when moving them into position)
