Nolan1243 Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 Hi guys, I bought my DSC world from Steam, then I have a doubt, I can buy de Mirage 2000 directly form DCS site and install in my DSC that I bought from Steam? Yes, you download the installer for the module, and point it to your steam directory for DCS. A little caveat here; You'll need to manually update modules and it gets really sketchy the longer you go using a mixed, Steam/non-Steam install, plus the Steam version is usually behind the non-Steam version for every update... ...So my advice is to pick one for everything, Steam or non-Steam. JNelson Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 THIS basically feels like christmas did 10-15 years ago. I mean, christmas today is nice and all. But I am wishing for a new kitchen knife set, a new toaster and a new electric water boiler... And none of that can't even fire 30mm cannons... Lol. My brother got me the mirage as a birthday present but it feels like christmas. Community A-4E-C

TIGER Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 I Prefer the ED and third parties to give exact dates about their products. Besides its our money that we give to them. Its better than someone to say "someday in December". This December? December 2016 or other December? Now we are all trolling like kids including me that I am from Greece and Greece has Mirage 2000. Because i hate that Mirage in BMS that use F-16 Avionics. I believe and as i saw from videos and pictures that Razbam has done excelent work on Mirage 2000. But Really I speak for myself. is better to have an exact date than some day for all prodacts that are going to be in DCS World. I believe is better policy from the company and Third Project companies to the customers that paying for modules in DCS world.:joystick::pilotfly::crash::suspect: 1 http://104thphoenix.com/ "Failure Is Not An Option" - Online Combat Simulation Since 1997 www.youtube.com/user/AntonioGR201 www.twitch.tv/104th_Tiger www.facebook.com/TIGER.GR.Tiger/ Discord: 104th_Tiger#1883

On the flip side if they say we are going to release it on December 20th say and there's a major bug and they miss the date.....grab your torches and pitch forks boys its a witch hunt. You can never please everybody. As a paying customer myself yes I do feel we are entitled to know whats going on with the return on our hard earned $ but for me a specific month is good enough as long as they keep us in the loop like RAZBAM seems to be doing....and teasing the hell out of us  Windows 10 Pro 64, I5 4690k @4.6GHz with CAPTIAN 240EX AOI, Samsung 850 EVO ,G Skill Ripjaws 16G RAM, Nvidia GTX 970 STRIX, MSI Z97 GAMING 5, WD Blue 1TB HDD, Seasonic M12 II EVO psu, Track IR 5, Pro Flight X-55 Rhino H.O.T.A.S
Para_Bellum Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 I'm pretty sure if the Razbam team could give us an exact release date they would do it. It's not as if they're trying to annoy us on purpose. ;)
Brisse Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 They used to come out with more precise release dates a few years ago, but it often went horribly wrong, so there's a good reason for not doing it. Also, if you have a problem with giving money for something you don't know the release date of, then simply don't give away your money. Don't be that clueless type of consumer that pre-orders at first opportunity for basically no reason.
Jarama Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 I believe it's pretty clear that if there's an announcement for the release, it will come directly from ED now. Looks like the Module is in their hands and it's them you should ask.

If not an actual release (with updates to the clients), then at least something in the Weekend News about what's up. Otherwise, I'm trying not to get too excited or worked up, I have one more final to do today and I need to finish stronk. /Gregory Smiddy Programming Heatblur Simulations https://www.facebook.com/heatblur/
Vivoune Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 (edited) Also, if you have a problem with giving money for something you don't know the release date of, then simply don't give away your money. That's a bit uncalled for. Someone is willing to support a 3rd party and ED but would have preferred a solid release date, that's understandable, but telling that person to simply keep its money and don't buy anything has got to be the worst and most inconsiderate advice. Dates, even by officials, are mostly guesstimates, that's the nature of software development. It is how it is, but showing your support by buying into the module means more funding to develop that module, Eagle Dynamics and in turn all of the DCS World experience we're all enjoying. Besides he's right, if devs could give solid dates and stick to it they would, it's easier to market. I really wouldn't tell anyone that want to support and better our hobby "These are the rules, if you don't like it don't buy it. k thx bye" Edited December 17, 2015 by Vivoune [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Let's conclude by saying it is in their (ED & Razbam) best interest not to make us wait too long after so many Mid-December "guesstimates" as you say so well.
