Guest Cali Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 Here are the correct fox calls just some info for you all "FOX" ( ): air-air weapons employment "one" Simulated or actual launch of a semi-active radar guided missile "two" Simulated or actual launch of an IR guided missile "three" Simulated or actual launch of an active radar-guided missile Taken from here and a few other websites http://www.f-16.net/modules.php?op=modload&name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=1358&highlight=calls I'm going to talk to a real 16 pilot and ask him as soon as I can.
Maverick-90 Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 nice 1 lets hope all fighters out here will soon get to know the codes....i love hearing Fox3 from my wingman and getting a fox 2 into my a$$
504 Wolverine Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 Here's a copy of the 504th Brevity codes set up by gazehound. ***Offensive*** FOX ONE: Launch of semi-active radar guided missile. FOX TWO (SHORT/LONG): Launch of an IR guided missile (R73/R27ET) FOX THREE: Launch of a fully active missile. FOX FOUR: Launch of Vikhrs at airborne target (see WOLVERINING) GUNS (FROM X): Firing cannon at air target. BURNTHOUGH: Point reached at which jamming aircraft is close enough for non-HOJ shot and IFF TRASHED: Own missile in flight has been/will be defeated. SKOSH: Aircraft is out of or unable to employ radar-guided missiles. WINCHESTER: No ordnance remaining. (Not including cannon ammunition, let someone know before it gets to that!). Fox 4 quite amused me as there is an actual Fox 4 call-out. IIRC The simulated/actual firing of a bombers cannons (i.e. B-52 tail guns)
S77th-GOYA Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 http://tailhook.org/AVSLANG.htm More brevity than you can possibly use.
Kenan Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 Here's a copy of the 504th Brevity codes set up by gazehound. Fox 4 quite amused me as there is an actual Fox 4 call-out. IIRC The simulated/actual firing of a bombers cannons (i.e. B-52 tail guns) AND we have a special brevity code for special situations: "I'm in deep sh*t here!" ™ Bazacop [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Commanding Officer of: 2nd Company 1st financial guard battalion "Mrcine" See our squads here and our . 504 Wolverine Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 AND we have a special brevity code for special situations: "I'm in deep sh*t here!" ™ Bazacop Don't forget Brewbers "fox - whatever the hell I have"
pschelchshorn Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 IIRC from former chats with other pilots and my dad the call for a gun shot is to call out "guns guns guns" during the process. So instead of saying the word once you say it 3 times in a quick manner. Flip "Imagine the reason that people hold on to hatred so stubbornly is because if the hate is removed, the pain will set in. Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail."
brewber19 Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 Don't forget Brewbers "fox - whatever the hell I have" Damn, someone was actually listening to me on TS.....(must be careful in future...yeah right). I can either speak or fly, not both, so I get easily confused when trying to communicate and engage targets...in the same way as my BRA call gets confused. Hammer 1: Hammer 1, 2 say BRA to IP Hammer 2: 2, BRA is 165 for....er...(crap, whats my range)....call it 50 clicks....er....roughly angels 2.5...(oops, moved the stick)...nope, make that angels 2 now...er.....(click). Hammer 1: Roger 2, 1 copies (sigh) I tell you, 504 Bomber Wing brevity code is something to behold (now waiting for Zorlac to post his recollections ;)). Guest Cali Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 I know. I've been trying to break Cali from saying that. It's broke...
