default view is zoomed in too much

I edited the default view to 75°. It was 48° by default... And tilted the PoV 15° downward. Looks perfect for me.

Paste the file in DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\M-2000C, or DCS World OpenAlpha\Mods\aircraft\M-2000C if in 2.0.

Do a backup of the Views.lua file before. :)

I dont understand, when I edit my own view.lua as you describe, it has no effect in the cockpit, the view is the same??? Thanks:(

Are you sure it's the correct Views.lua file ? Did you save the file after editing it's values ? Have you edited the correct values ?

That's all i can see... Ah wait, is your DCS install folder in "Program Files" and you're using Win10 or 8 ? If yes that might be Windows preventing any changes in that folder for "security" reasons. Then drag the Views.lua file to your desktop, edit it and save it there, then put it back in the correct folder. That should do the trick... Hopefully. :)

Sergeiev, it is strange but what seems to be doing an effect rather than the view.lua that is in the mods folder, it is when I change the values in savedgames/dcsopenalpha/config/view/snapviews.lua ??

I change your settings in the Mirage section (lines 1440 and 1442) and it does have an effect, despite not so predictable ???

yes, I just made some more methodic experimentation and the FOV and the lookdown angle is solved (by the same numbers as you said) but in this snapviews.lua file located in the savedgames folder!

I honestly prefer the default eyeline to be inline with the HUD, so I'm not too fond of the new change (except for the increased default FoV which is nice)

Is there a way I change change the default eyeline so that when'ever I F12 to center my TrackIR it snaps back to that?

I agree that the current default view is not compatible with other DCS modules out there. It creates a problem when I use Oculus DK2 because effect of zoom in/out command is not visible when I have the headset on. It is only visible when I do a replay on my monitor for recording. So I cannot simply adjust the zoom for my replays for recording videos. I never have similar problems with any of the other modules.
