[No bug] Wheel brakes crossed & other mechanics

Recommended Posts

I have found wheel brakes to be crossed, right pedal operates left wheel brake and viceversa.

Also Drag chute, speedbrakes, and flaps have no efffect and/or are missing completely, either on the flight model or the animation, or both.

...

Can you please elaborate?

Wheel Brake Left/Right axis commands work as intended.

Wheel Brake Left On/Off (Default: LShift+W) does activate the left wheel brake.

Wheel Brake Right On/Off works, too. There seems to be a problem with the default command (LALT+W), which is also mapped to "Launch Permission Override". At least on my install.

Can anyone else check it out / confirm? Thanks

I assigned BRAKES R/L to the corresponding pedal axes of my Slaw Device pedals

Pedals are ok, work fine with any simulation but Mirage 2000 has the right/left pedal brakes inverted. Left pedal acts over right brake and viceversa.

Just checked and I don't have this issue.

GADGET - check your control configuration and if they are inverted, go to the Axis tune menu and select invert and that should resolve it.

I had this issue after first start. With my Saitek combat rudder pedals I Need to invert the brake axis for all my aircraft (A-10C, F-15C...). Did this also for the Mirage beforew flying it, that was a mistake. Tapping the peddals steered the aircraft in the wrong direction. Set it back to non-inverted, everything works as intended...

I needed to invert both brake axis for L/R brakes and rudder rudder axis since they operated the wrong way by default. I am using MFG Crosswind V2 pedals.

EDIT: When I wrote my post I had only tried it in 1.5. I mapped everything from scratch in 2.0 as well and I had the same issue.

Doesn't have flaps so they just need to remove that option from the command list.

The airbrakes is known and like the gear up/down isn't working, but the toggle button is; so you can use that in the meantime.

And the wheel brakes seem fine to me, didn't have to invert the axis though like I normally do; Saitek pro flight pedals.

Works fine with my Saitek pedals here.

Only "issue" is that contrary to other modules is that you should not invert brake axis here, they work correct as is.

System specs:

Gigabyte Aorus Master, i7 9700K@std, GTX 1080TI OC, 32 GB 3000 MHz RAM, NVMe M.2 SSD, Oculus Quest VR (2x1600x1440)

Warthog HOTAS w/150mm extension, Slaw pedals, Gametrix Jetseat, TrackIR for monitor use

One would think that given you have to invert the respective wheel brake axis commands for every other DCS module with individual wheel brakes, it would be a matter of common sense to map these in the same manner for the M 2000C No?.
