I think the mission editor speed is ground speed. IAS will decrease as altitude increases. Normally a tanker will loiter at its most fuel efficient speed until an aircraft wants to refuel, and then accelerate to an appropriate speed for the aircraft type. Not quite sure how this is mechanised in the sim.

Edit: when I was testing it, I used the following settings for the S-3B:

Altitude: 16,562 feet

Speed: 454 knots

Orbit task: height = waypoint height, speed = 438 knots.

I think that should result in IAS of around 340 knots.

Is there any update about the tanker not sending fuel to the Mirage ?

With the latest patch on DCS 2.0 is it resolved ? Anyone tried air refueling recently ?

S3B is that the only aircraft available to the M2000C? I setup a switch on my joy for calling the tanker, I switched UHF radio to chanell set in briefing, still no joy. Tried pre-contacting with a/c on Caucus map an no joy. Not alot of experience in mid air refueling as I gave up on it long ago as it was so hard for me being new to flite sims. But thought maybe the basket might be easier to learn.

Let's wait for a future patch. It wasn't on the January 15th fix list, I thought they may forgot to mention it.

If that's not fixed yet, it will be later.

If you take a russian M-2000C and try to refuel with the IL-78, it doesn't work either. So it's not the S3-B

not sure if this can be a definitive proof. It could be that the Mirage isnt programmed in game to refuel from the IL-78.

LOL 2-3 weeks in DCS:mad:

Now it's just the same bugs, maybe for spring-summer 2016.

OT

I know this is a beta version.

Really cool plane but these bugs are frustrating

now I fly only M2KC

Im pretty sure that the way the game is setup is the planes are marked as tankers and it doesnt matter beyond that.

There must be some logic saying "if plane can be refuel'd and plane is connected to tanker, then increase fuel quantity by n% per second"

It can't be that simple, but it's broken somewhere for the moment. And yes it's a beta, so anything can happen, we now what to expect

It has been well stated several years in a row now that January is a slow month for updates with the Russian holidays.

We got it for Christmas! Now we just need a little patience after the nice surprise ;)

I can smell the merge from 1.5 to 2.0 will arrive sooner than expected like it's the little surprise mentionned by Maverick...

And by the way, the switch on left cockpit wall which the manual states to be "aerial refueling switch" is still not clickable....

Food for thought :)

and only after I switched to the auxiliary radio and back to the main radio and then called again did I get a response. I've repeated this a few times. Maybe the radio isn't being properly initialised at the start of the mission?

I would like to know if one person can tell me where is the switch for the "auxiliary radio" into the Mirage 2000C cockpit ?

With the shortcut is perfect but I prefer use the cockpit switch...

In advance a great great thanks, Skull.

Upper left of volume control panel, under the throttle. It's a two-position dial "1" and "2".

The radios themselves are on the left console, up by the left knee.

Hello guys,

Please can you confirm that this two position dial "1" and "2" is this switch named "Comm Select" from the DCS Mirage 2000C manual in page 82 ?

If it's not this switch please can you give me the page of Mirage 2000C manual and the name of this switch ?

A grea thanks in advance, Skull.

Uh oh...

It's "late" but just in case: gospadin, you made a mistake.

The switch you're referring to is not a radio selector.

The radio selector is on the throttle (will be if not already fixed in DCS) with a 3-position combo selector+PTT. Positions are:

(spring loaded) Select radio 1 & PTT / Standby / (spring loaded) Select radio 2 & PTT

The switch you mentionned is to choose the audio amplifier. 1 is default, 2 is standby. Not very useful to simulate...

Long silence here - has this been fixed?

What is "this" exactly? Refueling itself?

Long time it works :) perhaps explains the silence ;)

Sure you know what is "this" exactly. There are several (more than one) topics about "this" and still no response from developers.

I know that they`re quite busy now but `d like to see something like this "we are aware of this and will fix it".
