Flamin_Squirrel Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 In the F86, there is an option to have the seat move up automatically when the gear is down; would it be possible to have something similar for the M2000 at some point? The M2000 might be slighty different in that you'd only really want the seat moved up for the landing (rather than the F86 which gives a better view generally). If seat movement was triggered by the gear being down, you'd have the view in the wrong place for taxi/takeoff. Therefore I thought a solution could be achieved by the following logic, with the seat only moving up under the following conditions: Gear down Weight off wheels Throttle not in after burner Hopefully if people think this is a good idea it could be implemented?
sedenion Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Automatically, i will not appreciate, but a command to set the seat at "Landing position/Normal position" binded to an easy to find and press key, yes...
snowsniper Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 It's not a good idea. if it's automatic you'll lose all your tips for a good landing. use the seat leveler binded on a key if you want to use it. so far, just stand up a bit in my chair with a correct track ir setup is ok for me. i7-10700KF CPU 3.80GHz - 32 GO Ram - - nVidia RTX 2070 - SSD Samsung EVO with LG TV screen 40" in 3840x2150 - cockpit scale 1:1 - MS FFB2 Joystick - COUGAR F16 throttle - Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals
BButcher94 Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 I personally wouldn't use it but adding it as an option in the "special" tab or whatever it is in the options wouldn't be a bad idea. That way people that want it could enable it and those of us who don't, don't have to use it.

Random Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Seat is adjustable for height already. I've raised it for bombing.
Crysinator Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Is there a way to bind this to a controller? At the moment the seat adjustment is greyed out in the controls. Hardware: Intel i7-6700K (OC) - 16GB DDR4 (OC) - Asus Z170 - MSI GTX 1080 (OC) Input: TrackIR 5 - Thrustmaster Warthog

whaaw Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 The standart (Lshift + s) is more than enough. Im not for any automatic seat leveler SFMBE

King_Hrothgar Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 The F-86 and MiG-15 have this feature, the very first thing I did when I realized why my seat was randomly moving around during takeoff and landing is disable it. I don't care either way if this is added so long as I can turn it off.
