Hi Guys installed DCS and purchased Flaming cliffs 3 my problem is that when flying any jet I cannot fire a missile unless my landing gear is down. Im using the Saitek X52 with a default profile just dont understand what I am doing wrong. When dogfighting im going into air to air mode with key 6 and I can lock on enemy aircraft just wont fire unless landing gear down.:cry:

Yep the instant release with wheels down is a pretty old bug. Not very useful in combat though :D

Well, some people have different styles for air breaking ;)

Open an editor and try to read what #6 does, if Saitek allows this.

Could very well be an abnormal key-command slaved to #6 in your particular case.

Doublecheck double entries in dcs interface too.

Almost Everyone has had such double trouble entries in the past or when updates overwrite yours with defaults.

I wanna say, get used to constantly work your control setup, it is bound to need attention

It's got to be 1 of these 3 IMO;

1) Key binding issue (i.e. double binding like BitMaster mentioned)

2) Something is ticked in your settings that shouldn't be

3) Your game needs verifying (if you're on Steam version. I assume there's a way of doing it on the stand-alone version)

Just out of interest does this bug appear in online and on single player? If you've only noticed it on 1, try running a test in online, mission editor and a training mission / in-built mission.

To narrow the source of the problem down a bit, you might try unplugging your stick. I've created a mission (V1.5.2) that will let you quickly lock and, then, launch. Hit the "H" key, when you enter the cockpit, select BVR and turn on your radar. See if you can launch without your gear down keeping in mind to press and hold the space bar for a few seconds (unless, of course, you've assigned the release weapons to a different key).
