Hi guys, I know that i can change between outer and inner pylons by pressing Y and I keys respectively. But I wasn't able to switch from my Vikhr to my Kh25-ML's today. Tried loading 4 different weapons to 4 hardpoints, and pressing Y and I only selects the left-side ones.

How can I make a selection between Outer and Inner hardpoints? Any help would be appreciated and I wish all of you a good day.

Simple, don't equip asymmetric loadouts. ;)

AFAIK the Ka-50 simply wasn't built for it, which is why you can't select stations 1 through 4, you can only select outer (both sides) or inner (both sides) hardpoints.

Don't load asymmetric load outs OR if you do just know that left side is going to have to be expended completely before you can use right side.

Also be careful when loading because you are sitting in the bird but the load out screen is like you are looking at the aircraft head-on. If you are like me this will mess with your perception of which is left and which is right

I often use an a-symetric load-out on the inners when in multiplayer, I love to use orange smoke rockets to mark for the other strikers, but if I don't want to give up my ability to use explosive rockets I will load the right side with smoke and KOM's on the left, So I get one rocket barrage then I can start marking.

Giving up 6 Vikhrs for a Karen doesn't sound like a good trade to me though. unless you are hunting ships or something.

How does that offset your trim toast?

Obviously, if you use it, it must be easy to control the balance of the chopper and carry out your attack duties.

HP G2 Reverb (Needs upgrading), Windows 10 VR settings: IPD is 64.5mm, High image quality, G2 reset to 60Hz refresh rate. set to OpenXR, but Open XR tool kit disabled.

DCS: Pixel Density 1.0, Forced IPD at 55 (perceived world size), DLSS setting is quality at 1.0. VR Driver system: I9-9900KS 5Ghz CPU. XI Hero motherboard and RTX 3090 graphics card, 64 gigs Ram, No OC... Everything needs upgrading in this system!.

Vaicom user and what a superb freebie it is! Virpil Mongoose T50M3 base & Mongoose CM2 Grip (not set for dead stick), Virpil TCS collective with counterbalance kit (woof woof). Virpil Apache Grip (OMG). MFG pedals with damper upgrade. Total controls Apache MPDs set to virtual Reality height. Simshaker Jet Pro vibration seat.. Uses data from DCS not sound... goodbye VRS.

In the FAC(A) role, I'll put a single rocket launcher on one side and a fuel tank on the other. That way I only fire one smoke rocket at a time, and I have increased station time. Then if I need to attack something myself, or if there are anti-air units in the area that are giving the fast-movers a hard time, I'll just use one of my 12 Vikhrs on the outboards. I've done this many times, and the center-of-gravity is never an issue. Like Yurgon said, the only time I've ever felt a serious CG shift is with a single Kh-25 on one side.

The caveat to using a single fuel tank is you have to manage your crossfeed and boost pumps properly to keep your forward and aft fuel cells evenly filled, since right wing external tanks will only feed the forward, and the left wing external tanks will only feed the aft.

Just switch on XFeed = Careless Fuel handling.;)
