Jara4 Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 I have the same problem as guy above - since update to 1.5.2 version (from 1.2), game does not work. After launch and initial logo, screen blackens and application does not continue to load. Update log and dcs log attached. DCS repair does not work either - crashes with error massage: "Could not find autoupdate.db file. Help, pls.Logs.zip
Rangi Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Have you guys tried running as administrator or not as administrator, I had one of the beta updates wouldn't run as one but did as the other, sorry can't remember which was which now. This was with the beta 1.5 a few updates ago, but worth a try. PC: 6600K @ 4.5 GHz, 12GB RAM, GTX 970, 32" 2K monitor.

Johnny Dioxin Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Have you tried deleting the options file in your saved games/dcs/config folder? Has worked for me when similar problems have arisen. =DECOY= Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 do you have any mods installed that could cause the problem. i had to remove one only this morning. as it decided to start CTD for no reason lol Water cooled i9-9900K | Maximus Code XI MB | RTX3090 | 64GB | HP Reverb G2
Flagrum Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Wait 5 ... better 10 minutes. Sometimes DCS takes reeeeeeally long to start up (the first time after a brand new update, etc.)
=DECOY= Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 I removed all mods. did you have sweet fx or reshade installed ? Water cooled i9-9900K | Maximus Code XI MB | RTX3090 | 64GB | HP Reverb G2

Jara4 Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 you are not using the old multiplayer icon are you? if so it is no longer used. No, only SP. I searched and studied local forum for solution, tried everything, bu to no avail :(.
Jara4 Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Problem solved - it was caused by some leftover dll files from previous versions in DCS World directory. I deleted them and now it works like a sharm. Thanks to everybody for their advice.
qzxjkvb Posted February 5, 2016 Author Posted February 5, 2016 Mine MUST be a hardware issue; I did a complete fully clean install of W10 and still get the same crash after the splash screen. 1.2 works just fine. A new system is in my future, maybe that'll work. I was there - AG2, CVA-41, CV-63 1972-1976

Johnny Dioxin Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 (edited) Isn't that a DX9/10 card? (yes - up to 10.1 according to their site). Looking at nVidia's specs, you get 512MB 240's as well. http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gt-240/specifications Edited February 6, 2016 by Brixmis Rig: Asus TUF GAMING B650-PLUS; Ryzen 7800X3D ; 64GB DDR5 5600; RTX 4080; VPC T50 CM2 HOTAS; Pimax Crystal Light I'm learning to fly - but I ain't got wings With my head in VR - it's the next best thing!
