FSKRipper Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 (edited) Hey guys, I made a strange experience today. I took Stukas NTTR Mission and created a single A-10C flight (by editing a given F-15C flight) on hot start which gave me a totally unknown new HUD symbology with bullseye reading (pic 1). Checked the instant action take off mission and it gave me the well known normal HUD. So I'm guessing this seems to be no feature but a bug? Or I'm missing some kind of update? I have never seen it before... If some of you 476th guys could bring some light into this? EDIT: Since this mission is the only one I'm experiencing this issue I will share it for further Analysis. Be sure to use the single A-10C (New airplane Group).A10.miz Edited January 25, 2016 by FSKRipper i9 9900K @ 5,0GHz | 1080GTX | 32GB RAM | 256GB, 512GB & 1TB Samsung SSDs | TIR5 w/ Track Clip | Virpil T-50 Stick with extension + Warthog Throttle | MFG Crosswind pedals | Gametrix 908 Jetseat [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Ganesh Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 I would say it´s a feature! You can set up many kind of stuff in the IFFCC menue. Edit::book: i´ve found it! As said, I have never seen it before in a created mission and this is the breakpoint for me. How can you alter this deep system settings in the editor? Also this special altitude band seems not be discussed in this manual part. Maybe time for a revision... Maybe time for a revision... Could be the RDRALT TAPE S. 380 Yeah IFFCC menue give us a lot of fancy & useful stuff to show up. Thanks for your reminder. It´s time again to dig deeper into it. ajsarge Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Not a bug; intended feature. Part of the mission scripting can set up a data card that pre-sets many of the A-10's system options. One of them is to have your bearing and range to the bullseye displayed on the hud. For missions that don't set this up, you can open the CDU Waypoint page (Func+WP on UFC under HUD), navigate to the bullseye (or is it anchor?) page, and select the HUD OSB on the CDU or MFCD. This is part of the long list of setup items that takes me an extra 5 minutes even when I have a hot-start aircraft. Don't be afraid to hot-start on the ramp and just spend time fiddling with the CDU menus and mission computer options. 1

I always end up modifying HUD, CMSC and TAD the same way on every mission.
mwd2 Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 In ME you can go to FLIGHT/PREPARE Mission Take a slot and prepare the HUD and CMFD pages as you like (manual p. 66, engl.). After this, you can copy & past this aircraft and have the same basic setup for each plane in this mission file. Example for Ka-50 to prepare the Abris with lines, boxes etc. (see attached pdf - direct link to the page is not possible!). In the mission file (if you open it after rename as .rar) from 476th., you will see different folder for TGP, TAD, SADL,... and soon.Lines and Boxes on ABRIS Map - Sims and Things - LockOnFiles.pdf Playing: DCS World Intel i7-13700KF, 64GB DDR5 @5600MHz, RTX 4080 ZOTAC Trinity, WIN 11 64Bit Prof. Squadron "Serious Uglies" / Discord-Server: https://discord.gg/2WccwBh Ghost0815

Razor18 Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Could be the RDRALT TAPE S. 380 A bit off, but we may have different manual versions? In mine page 361 is the only instance "RDRALT tape" comes up, page 380 is about Maverick HUD symbology. In Adobe Reader, opening File/Properties says mine is Flight Manual .09, made on 8/27 2009 14:49, 671 pages and 34 605 370 bytes. Is this the latest version, or...? Or maybe you simply have the german version with different page numbering?
