Red Hammer Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 I heard some fly sim company begin to let players buy airplane. If a play put enough money in, they will make the plane which the player pay for flyable. Can ED do such thing as well? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Dmut Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 $50K should be OK for non-player AI aircraft. I suppose, flyable craft with detailed cockpit will cost around $2M. if you talking serious then contact ED/TFC, if not - don't waste your time. 1 "There are five dangerous faults which may affect a general: recklessness, which leads to destruction; cowardice, which leads to capture; a hasty temper, which can be provoked by insults; a delicacy of honor which is sensitive to shame; over-solicitude for his men, which exposes him to worry and trouble." paladrian Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 Wow! it sure is much more costly than I thought for a single aircraft :greedy:
ALDEGA Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 Maybe he meant 2 million rubles. Regarding AI-aircraft, it probably costs a lot more than 50$. You need: - a high quality 3D model with several LOD's - animation - textures - simulation logic - perhaps some additional models/logic for ordnance (if not in the sim yet)
Dmut Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 Maybe he meant 2 million rubles. Red Hammer Posted August 10, 2006 Author Posted August 10, 2006 That is a lot of $$$. How much for ED to put new country in the Game? I don't think that will cost a lot. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
