bolek Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 When landing, after touchdown, how long are you supposed to keep the nose up? Do you let it drop on it's own or push it down with the stick (and when)? It seems it takes forever for the nose to drop on it's own, like in this track (from 1.5.3), but maybe that's what it is? ThanksM-2000C-landing.trk
Espéce De salaud Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 You have to force it down, the FBW keeps it up
DonJosh Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 I keep the nose up after touchdown between 80-70 knots. Than pressing the brakes carefully so the nose come down. Stick-action only needed to keep the mirage in line Gesendet von meinem GT-I9505 mit Tapatalk
PiedDroit Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 I usually push it around 100kts. I think IRL they don't let drop by itself as it might damage the front gear.

PiedDroit Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 You have to force it down, the FBW keeps it up This  The correct way is to push the stick, not use the brakes (as the "push down speed" is usually too high for safe brake operation).
haffende Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Touching the brakes at any speed usually spells disaster...I wish they would sort this...been too long now and not realistic...especially bad in 2.0
Sarge55 Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 Touching the brakes at any speed usually spells disaster...I wish they would sort this...been too long now and not realistic...especially bad in 2.0 I find this as well. Better than it was (or I'm getting use to it) but still a bit disconcerting to suddenly swerve off to the right or left even at fairly low speed. I'm using "W" key to ensure even braking rather than my toe brakes. millenix Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 In patch notes today there is a note about adjustments with braking and control issues so this is good! I could land smoothly, but I had to be very careful with when I applied wheel brakes or the mirage gets very touchy. Aginor Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 I have only done two landings in the new version but it seems the brakes are smoother. Perhaps a big weaker as well, but it definitely helps against PIO on landing. Since we now have the chute if we run out of runway we can be a lot more cautious with the wheelbrakes, too. :) DCSW weapons cheat sheet speed cheat sheet
